About Brian
I mostly run long form campaigns, though I plan on having a single adventure listing for intro level players up at all times. During SPG events I will occasionally run a One-shot or two. My long form campaigns will be more expensive than my other games, but that expense is for the extra work I will be putting into the game during the times we aren't playing. These will be more "serious" than the one shots or short-forms but that is no excuse to not bring every shenanigan possible to the table. One-shots are going to focus on being humorous and chaotic. Have fun with the character build and try to pull off some crazy shenanigans. I am here for it.

My favorite books are
Brandon Sanderson is top of my list for favorite authors, within that I'd have to go with either Final Empire or Lost Metal as my favorite. Samantha Shannon's Priory of the Orange Tree is also absolutely brilliant. And I'd have to go with Joe Abercrombie's The Heroes to finish.
How Brian runs games
I don't come to a table with a "story to tell." Each player will approach the games we play slightly differently. Some will min-max to create incredible masters on the battlefield, others will see where the dice take them and learn who their character is through playing. But one thing will always remain the same: You made your character because they were interesting to you in some way. You are invested in who they are and the stories they might be able to tell. I am too.

Rules are...
The constraints within which our creativity shines brightest. In our world, the rules are what makes our art, engineering, or even our feats of strength so beautiful. Without the constraints and rules they worked within to achieve these feats, there is no awe. Same is true for the impact of stories.
Brian's ideal table
I will kick players for breaking my terms of conduct listed in my discord. This table is and will always be a safe space for LGBTQIA+ and racism will not be included or tolerated. (If you are From a marginalized community and wish to include that experience within the story we tell together, we can try and work that in) As for how I run games? I love tempting your characters in ways which catch you off guard and create tension in the story. PC tension is welcome at the table as long as the Players are all having fun. When I create encounters, I do not have a solution in mind as a "win state," if you see a loophole or a way out other than fighting? I am Here for it. But by the same token, some people will not budge no matter how high your persuasion check is. Sometimes, all that will get you is why they're so zealous.

I think it's a red flag when players...
Impose their "fun" at the expense of the fun of the other players at the table. Ignore the needs of the other players at the table in favor of their own wants. Ignore the safety rules we put in place.
