About VAD

Hello Adventurers! I’m an imaginative person and writer at Restenford.com (http://restenford.com/). I've been a painter, jeweler, technician, and IT Professional. And through all of that I have always had a love for Role Playing Games, specifically D&D. I learned of AD&D back in the '80s, played AD&D2nd extensively and regret giving away the majority of my books. I fell back in love with the game with D&D 5th Edition - and am very happy to see it once again take the position of "Greatest Role Playing Game" I absolutely love playing games with immersive stories that allow players to shine and express their own creativity. How VAD runs games

My GM style is adventurous, but I add levels of complexity - commonly in the form of fantasy politics: players working for secret rival factions, the PC’s having to negotiate with local lords and fiefdoms to access or take treasure from a dungeon on their land. Having players realize the consequences of their fame, as the world knows about their spells, powers, items, and the attempts to take those for someone else's gain. I prefer to incorporate art and images to go along with any story being shared. I enjoy being descriptive in scenes, actions and events, but I’ve never been one for a variety of voices. The first rule of any game is to Have Fun! The Rule of Cool is easily part of this. You can always Try, and the results could be epic, either hero or zero results. I host games on my discord server (http://discord.mrn.me/ or https://discord.gg/N2jrgmdWeV) and use FoundryVTT as my tabletop
