About Raw10
Hail and well met! Ready for adventure? Been rolling dice since the '80s — when character sheets were copied by hand and dice clinked in old Crown Royal bags. I came back to DMing for the stories, the shared laughter, and the people around the table. There's something special about shared imagination — it creates moments that stick with you long after the session ends. New to the game? I’ll guide you. Seasoned adventurer? Let’s crank things up a notch or two. Quiet at the table? I’ve got ways to draw you in. Let's build worlds, forge moments, and craft unforgettable adventures that echo through time long after the final roll!

I got started GMing...
…when a friend asked, “Hey, could you fill in as DM—just for tonight?” 30 years, 10,000 dice rolls, countless character deaths, a goblin bard rock opera, feuding familiars, a cursed deck, a gelatinous cube pen pal, and a suspicious mimic chest later… still filling in. ( Any time now, Dave. 😐 )
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
…charming - well… some folks think so, depending who you ask… sorta... at least a little bit... ; unpredictable - like a goblin after six coffees and a dozen donuts (Hoooooo Weeeeee!); occasionally devious — when the party definitely forgot to check for traps.
When I'm not running games I'm...
…failing my own insight checks, doodling dungeon maps on receipts, collecting cursed dice sets, arguing encounter balance with my cat, alphabetizing spell components, penning ominous monologues, researching obscure tavern names, and occasionally touching grass - only for research purposes.
How Raw10 runs games
My style is story-first and player-focused. I aim for immersion through strong narrative, meaningful choices, and a world that responds to your actions. Backstories and character goals are encouraged — they help shape the journey and add depth to the experience. I balance exploration, combat, and roleplay around what excites the group. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, I adapt to the energy at the table and meet players where they’re at. Above all, I’m here to support and witness your experience — to help you step into the story and shape something meaningful together.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Imagine Spielberg for the wonder, Guy Ritchie for the twists, Waititi for the humour, Gilliam for the “what just happened?”, Jackson for the epic sweeps — and a full-time Muppet wrangler when the party catapults the plot gloriously off the rails... again. Usually before initiative is even rolled.
I prep by
...custom maps ✅, custom props ✅, NPCs with personality ✅, cool sounds ✅, plans A to Z for every player choice ✅, much brainpower sacrificed tying it all together ✅... and maybe, just maybe, the players won’t derail it all within the first 5 minutes. (Hope springs eternal. Dice gods willing.)
Rules are...
…guidelines, not shackles. We use them to inspire, not confine. Rules set the stage, but improv steals the show. The occasional creative twist (or wild player plan) is always welcome. If you’re having fun, laughing, and gasping at the story — we’re doing it right. RAW is great, but fun comes first.
Raw10's ideal table
My table is where plans go sideways, the bard steals the spotlight, the barbarian writes heartfelt poetry, and the wizard somehow defeats a dragon with a ten-foot pole and sheer audacity. Expect laughter, gasps, and the occasional OOC tangent about ‘80s movies or cursed dice rolls. We love big character moments, player shenanigans, unexpected heroics, and yes — those glorious failures that somehow save the day. Everyone’s welcome: first-timers, seasoned dice goblins, roleplay fanatics, spreadsheet min-maxers, chaos gremlins... if you love the game, are good company, like to work together and play as a team, you’ll fit right in. Come ready to roll dice, embrace the unexpected, and help me answer life’s great mysteries: why does the rogue always split the party? why are goblins such excellent chefs? who did leave that cursed sword in the tavern broom closet? And if you see the original DM who asked me to fill in “just for one session” 30 years ago… tell him to return my calls!

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
...plot twists, characters with quirks, table shenanigans, heroic disasters, absurd plans that somehow work (or fail gloriously), cinematic moments, wild table banter, cursed dice rolls, unexpected heroics, party teamwork, and a GM who loves surprises and chaotic fun — you’ll fit right in.
I love it when a player
...dives into character, makes bold choices, is a team player who surprises me, or throws the perfect quip at just the right moment. Bonus points for wild plans that work against all odds — or fail spectacularly — and for derailing my prep in style. I truly admire glorious chaos and creative mayhem.
My table is not the place for...
...hogging the spotlight, debating every rule like it’s the Trial of the Century, or turning D&D into a gladiator pit. We’re here for team triumphs, shared fun & chaos, and making sure even the tavern keeper gets a happy ending. A little kindness, lots of laughs — if that’s your vibe, let's roll!
