About me

I wanted to start hosting games for my friends in 2019, as none of my friends were terribly experienced with Dungeons and Dragons, and I had already played a little bit here and there, along with a sprinkling of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons for my birthday. I've been running games for my friends on and off since then, and I've experimented with a few different systems. I especially want to accommodate queer, BIPOC, and furry players, as I don't want to be that one guy who says "No, you can't play an aarakocra because they have a default flying speed," or "That skin color won't make sense in this setting," or anything else of that ilk. I want to allow players to be the version of themselves reality refuses them, be that a brave knight errant, an industrious inventor, or a biomodded mech pilot on the search for the last big bounty before they can settle in their favorite star system. I like to help my players fit into the world as best as possible, though, so I am willing to help my players build characters that are woven into the setting with purpose and ambition. It's a little hard to do that without a backstory, so I've collected quite a few materials to help with that, if need be. No need to settle for the classic orphan hero backstory if your hero needs to secure funding to pay off their debts to the wizard college.

GM Style

I love roleplay, and encourage my players to speak as their characters (though voices aren't required. We don't want to turn your throat into hamburger, do we?) when they play. I enjoy tactical combat, though I also don't like killing off player characters unless they absolutely want to roll a new character. You didn't pay an artist just for your new fighter to get chewed to death by rats in the basement.
