About Patrick King
I have been playing RPGs since I was 16, over 2 decades now of which at least 18 years have been spent fairly consistently as a games master. I have a good knowledge of many systems and settings including Dungeons and Dragons, Traveller, Savage Worlds, Mork Borg and many others including small press and indie RPGs. My style of GMing is largely theatre of the mind, where grid based combat happens in my games it tends to be minimalist and in service of the narrative rather than a lavish focus of the game. I am also experienced as a "teaching gm" running games for brand new players. If this is something you are interested in then please let me know.

How Patrick King runs games
My GM style is fast-paced, engaging and compelling. I gm reactively to player input so player actions will drive the narrative. I am equally comfortable with comedy, High drama and horror elements. I use a minimalist theatre of the mind approach as I have found that lavish miniature-rich tables stall narrative more than enable it.
