Hi, I'm RJ! I started playing TTRPGs in 2012 as a player for a game my spouse was running and instantly fell in love. A couple of years after my first game, I started GMing my own campaign. As much as I loved being a player, I fell in love with being a GM even more. I've used several different systems over the years, but I have the most experience with D&D 5e and Dungeon World. Most recently I've been GMing Daggerheart which has quickly become a favorite for me.

baking. I've always loved baking from the time I was old enough to start using an oven. And yes, I make sourdough bread.
How RJ runs games
I love crafting worlds where my players feel like the heroes. I run roleplay heavy games with a strong emphasis on collaborative storytelling. With that in mind, Rule of Cool carries more weight than Rules as Written at my tables, within reason. While I can and do use maps for games and tables that prefer or need them, I prefer using Theater of the Mind. To me, TTRPGs are about fun shared at the table and as a GM, it's my job to help ensure that each and every player is having fun.

a great tool to help keep the game on track and ensure everyone is on the same page. But at the end of the session, the most important thing is that everyone had fun, even if the rules got a little bent along the way.
