About me
Well met Adventurer! My name is Sandell and I am a Dungeon Master running 5th edition games set in the Forgotten Realms setting. I bring more than just dice and rules to a table. I am a professional story teller in the entertainment industry with a strong film and theatre background. I have worked on many films in my career, from cult classics like "Sharknado" to high budget block buster successes such as "Black Panther 2" and "Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3". Weekly 3-hour D&D 5e game sessions on Roll20 using official D&D 5e campaign materials supplemented with additional maps, licensed music and sound effects, 3D dice rolling, Dynamic Lighting (revealing maps as you explore), scripts to automate manual tasks, sourcebook/compendium sharing. We use Discord for audio and each group gets its own channels to talk between games. New or experienced players and those just coming back to D&D, learning 5th Edition rules are welcome. You’ll learn as you play.
GM Style
As a DM, I heavily emphasis the use of different voices, an array of music to help set the mood/tone, and clear and distinct visuals such as battlemaps or artwork. I have always had a passion for improv and roleplay love. No matter your experience with either TTRPs or improv, you are welcome at my table. Expect a balanced mix of roleplay and combat, with the occasional puzzle thrown in for good measure. Those with a courageous heart and an adventurous spirit, allow me to take you to place of infinite possibilities and grand adventures. A place of great magic, wonderful beauty, and terrible evils to thwart. Weary travelers my stop by the Netherworld Tavern for a drink. The ale is free, so long as you brought your own.

Just a totally awesome DM! Played a session or two and had a blast. Was very patient with explaining rules and mechanics, which was something I was nervous about as a brand new player. Very knowledgeable on the forgotten realms, which makes him a awesome guide. Excited to see what comes next :)

Had a great first session. I've heard things about this adventure which have kept me from playing it to this point, but based on the first session, the story telling and willingness to let the characters make crazy and sometimes terrible decisions and introduce consequences without kids gloves, it should be a pretty fun ride.
