About me

Hello there! My name is Viridian, Mage, Or Corey. I feel I am a pretty laid-back person who values roleplay over combat in games. I have been playing D&D since I was around 11 years old and have just turned 32 this past year, in total I have 21 years of D&D experience with 5E being my favorite version so far. I like to dabble in map-making and take pride in breathing life into NPCs and doing fun voices. In my free time, I enjoy playing games and streaming with my wife. I also run a podcast which I have run for 4 years, with a cast that has quickly become like family to me. I enjoy building games in unreal and RPG maker as I am also working to become an Indie game dev.

GM Style

I feel I am a pretty laid-back guy who values roleplay over combat. However, Combat will still play a role in my games from time to time. I run an 80 to 20 mix of Roleplay/Combat. I am looking to create long-term games set in my homebrew worlds, with opportunities for crafting, espionage, politics, romance, and good old-fashioned tomfoolery every so often. For these worlds, I also have a few Homebrew rules which I will happily share for you to read over. I am not a fan of evil campaigns and dislike running them, so I usually don't run games of that nature. I run LGBTQ+ inclusive games where I ask everyone at my table to respect each other if you can't seem to find kindness my games are not for you. Here are some extras you will get for being a Paid Player I'm my games. 1.) Trinkets: Every player gains one trinket at the start of the game. 2.) A calendar: I have made a date and time system so the players can see the seasons pass by as they are on their journey. I like to let the players make a birthday to celebrate in-game or for fun to see their character's age in-game. 3.) In-game Music: as mentioned above, I run Syrinscape through discord for fun music and sound effects to add to the emersion of the game. 4.) Integrated backgrounds: I like to use what you have created to enrich the story as we play adding to the arc of our tale. 5.) Character choices matter- I like that choices players make are not always either right or wrong there is always the grey and that is where a fun story is born. You can make a new best friend or villain at any time. 6.) NPC's will have their own art and backgrounds and goals, they will not be cardboard cutouts. 7.) All locations and world info will have write-ups in roll20, for players to read and know more about the world before it starts. I feel this helps the world feel as though your character has lived in it.
