About me
Hi! I'm Dennis, and I run the Okayest DM YouTube channel. "Where I make mistakes running games so you don't have to!" This is not my YouTube channel. This is where I utilize EVERYTHING I've learned to create epic worlds with compelling stories for YOU to play in. I will be using every tool at my disposal to give you the highest-production, most immersive experience you'll ever have playing a game. Welcome to my table! Beware what lies ahead... I require that all players in my games are LGBTQIA+ and BIMPOC friendly. No prior experience necessary.
GM Style
I love creating a compelling story within a safe space above all else. I will weave your character's backstory into the main plot, and ensure you have fun EVERY session, not just most of them. I ensure combat is balanced to match the story we tell, and I love helping you describe epic strikes and spells. You'll get to play in a full and detailed world I've been building for a decade, and your characters will have permanent effects on that world, even after the campaign has ended. I love roleplaying and speaking in character almost as much as I love describing the scene. Both are featured heavily in my games. I'll mix epic battles, world-changing decisions, fun comedy, and tense horror into the story to keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Most importantly, I morph my style to match what my players enjoy. We'll have a great time, no matter how we tell this story together.

I was in a one-shot with Dennis during a discord group event. It was super fun! Took the time to let us flesh out our characters and incorporated our backgrounds into the game. And at the end of it, we learned that our game became part of his canon universe, which was super cool. Would definitely love to catch another game with him!

From the get go, Dennis set the atmosphere and had us wanting to know more and more. We had a ton of opportunities to feel out our own characters but never felt lost or "What do we do next?" and our GM was always matching our pace. Combat was fun, brutal, silly, serious and everything in between. I highly recommend sitting at Dennis' table if you ever get the chance!

This was the first one shot I had played in with Dennis, and I had a fantastic time! He is great at immersing the players in the world right from the start of the session, and was very knowledgeable about the system. If we had any questions about rules, they were answered without hesitation or judgement. I also loved that he used safety tools (both lines/veils and the x card) to make sure he knew what everyone was comfortable with before we started. Cannot recommend him enough!
