About Occam Raisor
I've been playing ttrpgs since D&D 2nd edition back in the late 90s. Since then, playstyles have changed a lot, and I've changed with them. I enjoy heavy roleplay-oriented games, and less of the crunch these days. That being said, I'm still a big fan of D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e, among newer systems like Daggerheart. I've guested on several ttrpg podcasts and streams.

How Occam Raisor runs games
I'm definitely a roleplaying DM. I do my best attempts at character voices, and I prefer combat to flow narratively rather than a crunchy tactical approach. I am big on character development and storytelling. I like to blend player character's backgrounds into the story to give it a more personal touch. I work almost exclusively in homebrew settings. I find it gives more room for GM and players alike to grow and experiment. I do my very best to provide a safe and accommodating experience for players from all backgrounds. I hold session 0s for each of my campaigns to set boundaries and off-limits material beforehand, as well as let the players get an idea of who they're going to be spending time with in game. If there is ever anything that makes someone uncomfortable, they are free to communicate with me publicly or privately so that I can address it. My primary inspirations are Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, Elden Ring, The Cosmere, Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Expanse. Session 0 of my games will always be free.
