About Nikolas
Hello! I'm Nik, I'm a GM who focuses on Ten Candles. I've been running (and playing) Ten Candles for a little over two and a half years. Outside of dark tables with friends, I have also ran this at a convention - Con on the Cob 2025 - and on a recorded session for Symphony Entertainment.

I became a GM because
I love being the one in the proverbial driver's seat, bringing people with me to tell a story that everyone's going to be satisfied with.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Doing photography stuff or working on some cybersecurity upskilling via TryHackMe or HackTheBox!
How Nikolas runs games
My style of GMing is heavy into narrative. We're all here to tell a story. I GM to build and drive the framework for a great story for the whole table. As such, anything I run tends to be very rules-light, favoring flavor over hard structure.

My games focus on...
Telling a good story, and making sure players feel safe enough to really lean in. When everyone's comfortable, you can safely explore boundaries, and it makes horror all the more immersive.
Rules are...
Good for initial structure and a mutually understood baseline to start with. When it comes to telling a good story, sometimes the rules get flexible.
