About Gabriel - NameLessZx
Hello, Adventurer! Welcome to my profile on Start Playing. My name is Gabriel, and I'm thrilled to be hosting games here. I'm a Brazilian ex-Army soldier and current Computer Science student. I’m always happy to try new things, learn new skills, and—of course—never able to abandon RPG (it just won’t let me go, lol). With over 4 years of experience playing and hosting RPGs, I’ve run a wide variety of campaigns, including some long-running ones that lasted for years. The themes I’ve explored the most include: - Military realism with a focus on special operations - Medieval dark fantasy - Medieval high fantasy - Survival-style games - Nuclear/zombie apocalypse I bring immersive storytelling, consistent pacing, and a flexible approach to adapt the game to my players’ style. I especially enjoy hosting games for new players, teaching them the system, and introducing them to the world of RPGs. What drives me to host games is the sheer joy of creating great stories and having fun. I started hosting during the pandemic, when my main goal was to make everyone feel safe and enjoy themselves. Thankfully, the world is no longer in that phase, but my mission remains the same: to make sure everyone has a great time. What sets me apart is my relentless dedication to ensuring everyone feels welcome and enjoys the journey. That’s my main objective: to make each player’s day better. So whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a curious newcomer, you’re welcome here.

I became a GM because
During the pandemic, my friends and I needed a way to have fun. I discovered RPGs when the pandemic began here in Brazil, because one friend of mine started running campaigns for us to play. They truly improved our days and brought many new friends to our table!
People are always surprised when I tell them
that i was from the military. Usually they ask me for a photo, lol
When I'm not running games I'm...
Studying a lot. Computer Science sounds cool until you face Linear Algebra, Physics, and Calculus... I wouldn't change my choice; I love what I do, but it's hard sometimes.
How Gabriel - NameLessZx runs games
I love the kind of gameplay where players really have to think and stay immersed in the world. Tactical combat and deep roleplay are the two things I value the most. I especially enjoy when players think outside the box and come up with creative solutions that aren’t written in any rulebook — and usually, if it makes sense, it works. For me, this is a golden rule: don’t think about the system, think about what your character would do and what makes sense in the story and in the combat.

Gabriel - NameLessZx's ideal table
At my table, you can expect a friendly, welcoming, and immersive environment where everyone has a chance to shine. I focus on storytelling, pacing, and adapting the game to the group’s preferred style—whether that means intense roleplay, tactical combat, or a balanced mix of both. I’m very patient with new players and happy to teach the rules step-by-step, so newcomers won’t feel lost. At the same time, experienced players will still find plenty of depth and challenge to keep things exciting. The vibe at my table is cooperative and story-driven. I encourage creativity, teamwork, and a respectful atmosphere where all voices are heard. My goal is to make sure everyone leaves the session feeling like they were part of something fun, memorable, and worth talking about after the game. If you enjoy cinematic moments, rich worldbuilding, and a DM who’s flexible enough to follow the players’ lead, you’ll fit right in. Whether you’re here for gritty military realism, dark medieval fantasy, survival horror, or epic high fantasy adventures, you’ll find a place at my table.
