About Myrtheus
I started playing in high school and learned on 1st edition AD&D. I loved the storytelling aspect of the game and living through the eyes of some fantastical character. I started GMing 20 years ago and learned a few tricks of the trade by trial and error. I have played many systems over the years. I use the Rule of Cool and theater of the mind. I like to learn many different RPG rulesets and sometimes you can port a rule over to another game. I do not believe in player vs GM. Everyone is there to cooperatively tell a story. Also, the players are the main characters in their stories. I do not create DMPCs to "balance" my games. Players are not sidekicks. My style of Gming is simply this: I want people to have fun. If a rule gets in the way of fun, I'll make a quick decision to keep the game going. Roleplaying games are about being social and hanging out. I do not take them very seriously. I also prefer PG-13 games. There is no reason to be overly graphic. In any description. Did your character find a mate? Cool, fade to black. Does your party need to resort to some extreme interrogation methods? Cool, make a roll and fade to black. Keep it family-friendly with a few cursed words. I use Discord for voice and a variety of VTTs are at my beck and call. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you around the table!

How Myrtheus runs games
I love the Rule of Cool and I tend to run cinematic and campy games. I want people to laugh. I want them to have fun. I believe I have succeeded as a good GM when 5 years from now you think of that thing you did in one of my games and it still makes you smile.
