About Montana Rosalle
I could say things like I am a professional improviser, I run a nonprofit to help GMs, or I on average have 3 or more games going on at a time. However, a GM is not defined by the things they can offer but by the people that play at your table. So here are some things that my players have said about me running a game: "Before Montana introduced me to the world of Dungeons and Dragons, my life was a cold and joyless place. I was caught in the bitter winds of the the harsh realities of a non-fictitious reality, I thought all hope was lost. But lo, shining off in the distance, a new dawn was breaking. Montana and the forces of the YVR Dungeon Masters cut through the darkness of my lacklustre existence, enlightening my soul to the wonders of a shared storytelling experience, where it mattered not if one was tall or short, cowardly or bold. In this new world, the only limits were the creative spirit of your imagination and your willingness to collaborate with a table of like minded individuals.... Montana not only rejuvenated my life.... he put a spark within my soul.... ... Okay, so that might be a bit more of a dramatic take on everything. I might’ve embellished some of that a bit. What’s actually happened is that had always heard of D&D but never known a way to get into it. Enter Montana and the YVR dungeon masters. I showed up to one of their intro to D&D nights they hosted and instantly fell in love with the game and ability it gave to have a shared story telling experience with a group of strangers over the nerdy fantasy tropes I had grown up loving. After a few months of these nights, the itch grew stronger, and I wanted to be able to play in an ongoing game and develop a character alongside a group of regular players. Montana brought together myself and a few other like minded individuals, and set the stage of an ongoing adventure we would all tell together, with him temporarily at the helm. Along the way, he taught one of the other players the ropes of running the game as he did, and after a short time slipped back into the shadows and passed the reins to our new Dungeon Master, who has being running a very fun and successful game for us for the better part of the past 5 months now. " - Brennen "I am very grateful to Montana for bringing this group together and giving us the chance to tell our own stories guided by the rolling of a dice. It has definitely given me something to look forward to week after week, as well as some new friends to share the experience with." - Tristan "Montana is a Gm that is able to play the game his whole table wants to play, hes always able to make sure everyone is having fun even if it means going way off script for a little while and just goofing off. Hes witty and is able to bring that into The characters he portrays in game, and is always able to keep the game going even if people need to stop and check the rules every now and then. " - Rebecca "Montana is a Gm that is able to play the game his whole table wants to play, hes always able to make sure everyone is having fun even if it means going way off script for a little while and just goofing off. Hes witty and is able to bring that into The characters he portrays in game, and is always able to keep the game going even if people need to stop and check the rules every now and then. " - Jakob "Montana is a joyful DM with a dark sense of humor and an interest in philosophy and morals. He is skilled at world building through character interactions and will challenge your beliefs with his game play. his characters are engaging and can be eccentric but are always grounded in individual core beliefs. As a person i find Montana to be critical and compassionate towards the world around him, his creativity and compassion allows him to see how things could be better and i believe his sense of humor comes from the fact that they are not. This heavily influences his character and world building. he creates situations and characters that will challenge your sense of morality and force you to think critically about your beliefs while laughing at the absurdity of it all. Its a bit like having a more chill fun version of John Kramer from the saw franchise as your DM. He will always be engaged with your character and choices because you are part of his hilariously sick social experiment. because of this the plots will always be interesting and creative, and his characters well defined." - Meredith

How Montana Rosalle runs games
I love to make dynamic character choices and make weird voices. I have heard that my goblin voices can be either super creepy or super cute depending on the goblin. Comments like that are really sum up my style. B lending the realism that brings true emotions in the game and the cartoon-ish nature of a fantasy universe to bring an in-depth adventuring experience. Although, that is my default way I play but the answer that has more truth is that my game style fluctuates with the people that are sitting at my table, I want to bring a new experience each time that you come to my table. Your enjoyment/fear(at times) is the only way I rate my success as a GM.
