About me
Greetings Adventurers! I am thrilled to introduce myself to this vibrant role-playing community! I am a seasoned and enthusiastic Game Master with a history of role-playing that spans back to the fantastic medieval tales spun from the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. I first began running my own RPG sessions in the 80s with The Dark Eye, and my passion for the tabletop has not waned, even in the face of the industry's most challenging times. I have built numerous campaigns and sessions across a wide range of RPGs - from classics such as Rolemaster, D&D (3.0, 3.5, and the latest 5e), Warhammer (1st, 2nd, and 4th editions), Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Star Wars (d6, d20, and FFG), to modern favorites like Alien RPG, Legend of the Five Rings, and Vampire: The Masquerade (Dark Ages, The Masquerade, and 5th edition). Recently, I've been extensively running D&D 5e, Legend Of The Five Rings, Vampire: The Masquerade 5e, Alien RPG, Star Wars FFG, Warhammer Fantasy RPG, Call of Cthulhu, Cthulhu Hack In May 2021, I was honored to run sessions for Edge during the worldwide premiere of Midnight at the Alchimie du Jeu de Toulouse. Being French, my native language is French, but rest assured - my English proficiency is top-notch. I achieved a CEFR level C1 or above in the Linguaskill Business assessment from the Cambridge University Press & Assessment English in January 2020. GM Style
My style as a GM leans towards thorough preparation and an intricate balance between narrativism and ludism. I believe we are here to embody characters and weave stories, yet the tactical and technical aspects of RPGs such as D&D don't intimidate me. With the advent of virtual play, I've embraced platforms like Roll20 and Foundry, investing considerable time and effort in enhancing the visual appeal of my games. From mastering the art of creating maps to designing 3D avatars using Daz3d or generate them using MidJourney, my objective is to enrich the game experience through effective use of these tools. My favorite players are those who can play their characters' setbacks and failures creatively - even deriving joy and strength from such moments! I strive to be accommodating and supportive, especially towards players who contribute actively to the storyline and group dynamics. My philosophy is to favor players who actively participate in building the narrative, especially after significant in-game setbacks. I warmly welcome beginners - fresh perspectives always add a unique flavor to the campaigns. The driving force behind my GM style is the investment and engagement of my players. If you're enthusiastic and involved, I'll be more than happy to patiently guide you through game rules or mechanisms as often as needed.

I had a lot of fun playing with Remy as DM for a play-by-post game. The experience was very immersive and creative - with excellently detailed descriptions and really well-realised npcs. The level of detail encourages excellent play-by-post roleplaying. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for in-depth role-play immersion and high-level storytelling that really makes your character feel a true part of the world.

Right from session 0, Remy digs deep to intricately thread player characters into the rich narrative of his games. He delivers each evocative scene with gravitas and finesse, while also maintaining an infectious sense of humour outside of the gritty RPing! Would definitely play at his table again!

Remy is a wonderful DM! He's kind and patient, with a good sense of humor to boot. He goes above and beyond on setting the scene and making the experience as immersive as possible. Remy has been an excellent GM. While he always has a strong idea of where the story should flow and how it should get there, he never tries to overrule player agency. Playing with him is being secure in that he always knows what the destination is, but the players are driving the story there at their own pace.

I'm playing play by post and it's been a fun experience. Remy goes above and beyond to create an amazing atmosphere that gets you sucked into the world. He's patient and rewards creative writing and ideas. The most important thing for me is that he encourages a fun and cooperative storytelling which I appreciate.
