About Martín
I've been regularly playing roleplaying games since 2020, mostly in the GM role. I try new games often, looking to learn from different approaches, but I'm more at home with narrative-first designs. I've even dabbled in the craft, designing a few small games, and translating some by others. I've also published online playsheets that work rather well. Locally, I regularly collaborate with TTRPG groups in my home region, organizing events and running tables at them.

How Martín runs games
I focus on keeping the story interesting and coherent, while incorporating input from the rest of the table as much as possible. I like when players actively propose what they want for the game, and reward that by engaging with their ideas openly. I find that's what enriches the experience the most, as I see TTRPGs as a collaborative endeavor. I find narrative involvement more important than theatrical performances and skillful problem-solving. I want the main challenges in the game to be the ones faced by the characters in the story, giving the players at the table more space to be the audience, not just the writers and actors. Because of that, I gravitate towards games with simple rules and robust support for the meta channel. I also believe roleplaying games to be a unique artform with endless potential, and so encourage my players to push the boundaries of the medium, to take the story in unexpected directions, and to explore whatever themes resonate the most with them. This usually makes my work as GM more challenging, but I welcome that gladly, as it helps me grow in the role.
