About Macchiato Monkey
Welcome traveler. After a few sessions of tabletop games (ttrpg) as a player I decided to become a gamemaster. I've run several games in various fantasy settings. To note a few exciting game systems and settings: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd & 3rd Edition, Savage Worlds, Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition... To diversify my gamemaster style I've dabbled a bit in a 19th century Mythic Nord (Vaesen rpg) & a sci-fi space horror setting (Alien rpg); and a doom & black metal inspired fantasy post-apocalyptic setting (Mörk Borg). I like to be engrossed in a fictional world focussing first and foremost with a primary focus on the collaberative joy of creating and developing an enjoyable social playing experience. My greatest ttrpg's are joys are discovering new and exiting setting elements, fun facts, humoristic escapades, moral dilemma's; serious, but simultaneously a fun and sometimes whimsical playstyle, becoming a fan of the character played by the players (PC's or player characters), helping players develop their skills, gaining greater English proficiency and chit-chatting. Jeesh, that's a lot if I'm looking back at these before mentioned ttrpg pleasantries! xD All my games are still free at the moment. Momentarily I'm in a several situations, not being allowed to generate a second income and using this as an excuse to just become better at being a startplaying.games (SPG) gm! xD New or old veterans; I welcome all players, with a collaberative and respectful mindset, into my games. How Macchiato Monkey runs games
A welcoming and helping personality Friendly and respectful Patient with beginning players Working collaboratively with eveyone on our creative endeavours together Focus on group dynamics in order to create a compelling experience and story No virtual tabletops (VTT's) No complicated Discord bots (the only exception to this is a Discord dice roller bot) A neverending, personal drive to become better at creating, organising and maintaining games; improving English skills Embracing game rules as a framework in order to play In my games the rulebook is not treated like a Bible, though I try to be as consistent as possible when it comes down to employing rules. You will always learn the rule system in my games as I will always mention the difference between rules as written (RAW) and the few homebrew rules I employ. les as written and my interpretations. I run play-by-post (PbP) games. Momentarily my posts are mid-lenght (usually two to five paragraphes consisting of a few sentences) to a minimum of one paragraph. I may not be a silly goose, but as my SPG name suggests, I value good vibes and a good laugh once in a while keeps me going.

A respectful and helpful atmosphere About 65% roleplay/35% combat Don't be intimidated by roleplaying. I believe that being eager to portray a character is a great starting point. That enthusiasm goes a long way toward making the game enjoyable for everyone. You don’t need to be a master actor. Just bring your willingness to engage with the story, and the rest will flow and grow naturally and organically over time.
