About Lyr

Welcome to the world of Dungeons and Dragons. Ahead of you lies a path full of epic adventure, heart wrenching moments, and plenty of laughs. My name is Lyr and my pronouns are they/them, and I’ve been playing Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition for around 10 years now. Currently I’m a college student looking to spread my love of storytelling to you all. Throughout my time as a player I’ve made some of my best memories and friends telling stories about our character’s next big adventure. As your DM I aim to bring this same joy to you through character focused storylines and working with you to tell the story YOU want to tell. I want to make the game as personal to your adventurer as possible to keep both you and your character engaged in anything from a murder mystery, a trek through the woods, or an elaborate government takedown. All of my games are run in my homemade world which I've recently dubbed Aqis that has been in the works for 5 years now and player driven. Want to go run off in the woods to fight a bear and end up becoming best friends? What about infiltrating the government of the country and taking it down from the inside? Anything you decide to do I am ready to tackle, and thrive on the chaos of improv. The world is full of life and is constantly growing with a full hand drawn map to go alongside it. My games are 100% LGBT+ and Neurodivergent friendly and I work with you to make sure you are comfortable while you play. I run my games through Discord, so no need to download and learn new software! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Hope to see you soon!

How Lyr runs games

My games are generally more focused on roleplay and character development. Working with players to come up with the stories they want to tell and making them feel that the overall narrative is personal to their characters is my favorite part of GMing. However, there is less tension if death is out of the question, so if or when it happens it will certainly have an impact and either become a new problem to solve or a tragic reality.
