Hello, I’m James! It’s great to meet you, roll for initiative! In my gaming life, I publish old school adventures and supplements under the imprint Lost Heretic Press. I predominantly write for and run Shadowdark RPG, but I have been known to dabble in other systems when the mood strikes. In my everyday life, I am a professional firefighter and paramedic, so while my schedule can occasionally get hectic, I love to get into gaming as often as I possibly can. I am available for bookings for both one-shots and campaigns. I strongly believe that the more people play RPGs, the better the world will be overall. I stand firmly against misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism, fascism, nationalism, and bigotry in all its forms. I do not and will never use Generative AI. How James runs games
I specialize in grimdark, rules light, attitude heavy old school style games. My games are open ended and player driven, with a focus on creative problem solving and emergent adventure. I like to set up a world and let the chips fall as they may in response to player choices and action. My commitment is to creating a fun, inclusive, and safe playing experience where everyone is welcome. Just don't forget your torch and your standard issue 10' pole!
