About me
I started getting into TTRPGs in 2018 and have found a love for them. I have mainly played D&D and I have only been a GM for D&D games. In the long life of D&D I am a newbie but I enjoy that it makes me step out of my comfort zone and search for creativity that I thought I didn't have.
GM Style
I enjoy roleplay and combat but most of my campaigns tend to have more roleplay than combat overall. I try to have a good mix. I do my best to give NPCs unique voices as well. I like to follow rules as written BUT I try not to let them get in the way of having fun and I have been known to allow something in my games because our group thinks it would be more fun.

Storytelling
Matt allows players to engage with his world with a level of creative liberty that makes me as player feel like I am not bound by what is written on my character sheet. He seamlessly guides the outcomes of events so that the consequences of one’s actions are felt and are fair. What I found most enjoyable in Matt’s games is his ability to make activities during downtime feel less of a chore and more of a bite-sized adventure. I look forward to more world-saving or -destroying shenanigans that inevitably ensue in Matt’s games.
One of the most striking aspects of Matt is his patience (incredible beginner-friendliness). Here's the thing, I'm not exactly the ideal player. Half the time I didn't even know what I was doing. Whenever I had a cool (weird) idea or got stuck on what to do, he's right there cheering me on and helping me figure out how to turn my weird ideas into epic moments. He made the whole experience feel like a team effort, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. What I loved most was how Matt brought the game to life. Every character had their own voice and personality, making the whole world feel real and exciting. Plus, he was great at keeping the game challenging, which kept me hooked and thinking creatively the whole time. If you want to have the time of your life playing D&D, you got to play with Matt. Seriously, he's the coolest guide ever, and I can't wait to go on more adventures with him.
I have been through a couple handful of GMs(reason being that there have been bad experiences with others so hesitant to try more out) and I have to say he runs a pretty tight ship. Establishes his schedule early and will inform you if something is awry on his end and is receptive to any issues from the player end as well. Encourages player feedback from what they might be interested in doing for the next session, what kind of downtime they want their characters to do and will not railroad a session no matter how unplanned the direction your session might be going he will roll with the punches. Last thing I wanna say since I don't want the review to be too lengthy is that he will make sure everyone at the table is enjoying their time and i hope many other people get to experiences his brand of game moderation.
