About me
My name is Ashley, shortened to Ley, and I've been a Dungeon Master for 5+ years! I've run one shots more times than I can count geared a bit more towards new players. My goal is to give anyone that wants to play D&D a great experience!
GM Style
I love the roleplay element to the game of dungeons and dragons, and a good story! If the particular one shot doesn't have a big story behind it, typically I'll make sure there's some good opportunity for NPC interactions. I side with RAI (Rules as Intended) for the most part, but always allow for player innovation if they can make it make sense.

Ley was one of the first DMs I have had and she blew all the others out of the water. She is fun, interactive, and always provided an environment where I and my fellow players could tell an engaging story. If you like to roleplay and have a DM who wants you to have a good time, then Ley is perfect!
100000/10 Where do I begin to describe how great of a DM Ley is, for both myself and my character? If I wrote everything, we'd be here for 20+ pages. I've been playing in Ley's games for about a year and a half now. We met through a one shot she DMed with what would have been a side character, that thanks to her developing him with me in that first one shot has gotten to grow and become one of my favorites. As a DM, she learned what I wanted out of my character, was careful to ask for my lines/veils, and worked with me to *understand* my character and my communication as a player. She's amazingly great at making you AND your character feel *seen* and included, and let me bring backstory ideas in that helped me with role play. She's always super encouraging and an amazing communicator. She did a birthday one shot for me, and put real effort into understanding my character's god that no DM had before. Into understanding *me*. My first one shot with her was Ivy Manor, and I wish I could do it again and again with her. I have very fond memories I cherish of that first game with her. During live play our PCs started fretting at one point, and she had ingenious ways of keeping us engaged and letting us role play out scenes without losing the pacing of the session. Oh the pacing. Amazing. Top notch. I'm running out of words. Everyone's character gets to shine, PCs are able to role play if they want, and the pacing stays AMAZING. There will be times your glued to your screen and extremely engaged and then "oh, we made it" ... but *did* you? You'll have to find out ;) I've watched her add and refine her games over time with real enthusiasm and professional commitment to the craft. The life and depth she brings to each npc if frankly amazing. They each feel like real living characters. We had a bit of extra time in one game, and an npc who was supposed to only give an item developed a full backstory with a family and life and history in the world. (I love Garth.) I have two songs on a character playlist that are due to her. Ley has been my PC's mom, god, and cranky old man who kept my character from walling himself off. I love her as a DM and a friend. You will not find a better DM here :)
Ley is the first DM I have ever had and I could not have been more fortunate. Since day one she has shown incredible patience and kindness as our party stumbled our way through our first sessions. She has been encouraging and thoughtful with her feedback as well. I'm a very introverted person and role play does not come naturally to me. Especially with our current party which has so many large personalities, I tend to fall back and observe more. Ley has been so kind with her encouragement with me and going out of her way to make sure I remain involved and part of the story while simultaneously keeping the rest of the wild animals of the party from running too far amok. 100% recommend working with Ley. Well worth the money. No ragrets.
