About me

Hi, I'm Yunus - I also go by the nickname "kindrogue." I like to find unconventional solutions to problems without disregarding the well-being of others. I'm an easygoing person that you can talk to without fear of judgment. I have to admit, I'm not entirely comfortable with self-promotion, but I will say this proudly: I strive to foster a safe and welcoming table. We all make mistakes -including me- but I do my best to learn, improve, and ensure everyone has a good time. If you have questions, concerns, or feedback, feel free to reach out. I'm sure we can solve any problem together - yes, I'm an optimist. You can contact me on discord: "kindrogue" (or Kindrogue#8559 if you're using the older tag system). As a child, I dreamed of a way to build and share stories with others - I used to say "I want to create a fairy tale together." I first discovered D&D in 2010, when I was 11 years old. It was exactly what I had been searching for, and I still remember the excitement. I've been playing and running games ever since. I started with D&D 3.5, moved on to Pathfinder 1e, and discovered many more systems along the way. I'm proficient with various type of systems such as Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk, Vampire:The Masquerade, and Fate, to name just a few. Over the years, my approach to TTRPGs has evolved - but my passion has only grown. Lately, I've become increasingly focused on what makes an "ideal TTRPG experience" and what it truly means to write a story together.

GM Style

I've spent years crunching numbers and understanding how systems work, so you can trust me when it comes to rules and rulings. In games with tactically heavy combat, expect to be challenged: NPCs will coordinate, talk, and plan. Intelligent enemies will use everything at their disposal to gain an edge. I care deeply about my NPCs and monsters - they are not just bags of hit points. They have fears, motivations, and maybe even someone waiting for them back home. Even the random thugs in a dark alley have stories. If the opportunity arises, you might redeem one of them - or be tricked by a desperate survivor trying to get ahead. I'm a patient and supportive GM. You can always ask questions, whether about the rules or your character. I'll explain as much as needed, and I'm happy to help however I can. Most of all, I’m flexible. In Session 0, we’ll talk about tone and expectations. Want a combat-heavy experience? Let's do it. Prefer a RP heavy experience, without combat getting in the way of your character's emotional moments? Perfect. Want to avoid combat and solve problems with creative, non-violent solutions? Let’s try it - those wild ideas might just work at my table. However, I can't guarantee it'll all work out in the end - no plan survives first contact with the enemy, after all. Just a heads-up: I strongly discourage meta-knowledge in character. If you're making plans during combat, it should be done in character - not discussed like a board game.
