About Kieron

I am a Canadian professional RPG and board game illustrator with published work in the tabletop industry. My lifelong love of RPGs is what led me into illustration, and I bring that same creativity, worldbuilding, and visual storytelling into every campaign I run. I have been playing tabletop RPGs and board games since the early 1980s, with decades of experience exploring countless worlds and systems including Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, FFG Star Wars, and a variety of independent RPGs. As a Game Master, I focus on immersive storytelling, memorable characters, meaningful player choices, and creating a world that feels alive. I enjoy a balanced game where roleplay, exploration, clever problem solving, and exciting combat all have their moment to shine. Whether you are completely new to RPGs or a veteran player, my goal is to create a welcoming table where your character’s choices matter and we build a great story together.

How Kieron runs games

I’ve been running long-term Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for years, including adventures that reached high-level play. My style has a classic old-school feel, where exploration matters, choices have consequences, and every character gets a chance to shine. I prefer XP-based advancement, rewarding players for their accomplishments and the challenges they overcome. My campaigns focus on immersive storytelling, memorable NPCs, tactical combat, and meaningful decisions where victories feel earned. I run fair, well-paced games using rules as written as a foundation, with flexibility for creative solutions and the occasional “rule of cool.” As a professional illustrator, I bring custom maps, artwork, and handouts to create worlds that feel vivid, immersive, and alive.

Rules are important and keep the game fair, but I also value game flow. If a rule is unclear during play, I’ll make a quick, reasonable ruling so the game continues. After the session I’ll check the rule and clarify it for the group next time.

My table is friendly, welcoming, and collaborative. I enjoy players who engage with the story, interact with NPCs, and work together as a party. Roleplay and creative problem-solving are encouraged, while tactical combat and classic adventure remain part of the experience. I genuinely enjoy seeing players succeed and celebrate those moments with them. Respect for fellow players is essential, and the goal is for everyone to have fun while creating a memorable story together.
