About Kieron

I have been playing tabletop RPGs and board games since the early 1980s. Over the years I’ve played and run many systems including Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, FFG Star Wars, and a variety of independent RPGs. I enjoy both playing and Game Mastering, and I currently run several ongoing campaigns. As a DM I focus on immersive storytelling, memorable characters, and player choice. I am a freelance illustrator by profession. It was my interest in RPGs that led me to become an illustrator for them and also board games.

How Kieron runs games

I’ve run long-term D&D campaigns for years, including games that reached high-level play. My focus is on immersive adventures where player choices shape the story. I incorporate memorable NPCs, tactical combat, and meaningful choices. I give all players at my table the chance to shine. I create session that they all look forward to playing. I run fair, well-paced games using rules as written as a foundation, with flexibility for creative play and the occasional rule of cool. Players consistently highlight my preparation, storytelling, and visual presentation in their reviews. As an artist, I bring custom maps, artwork, and handouts to make the world feel vivid and alive.

Rules are important and keep the game fair, but I also value game flow. If a rule is unclear during play, I’ll make a quick, reasonable ruling so the game continues. After the session I’ll check the rule and clarify it for the group next time.

My table is friendly, welcoming, and collaborative. I enjoy players who engage with the story, interact with NPCs, and work together as a party. Roleplay and creative problem-solving are encouraged, while tactical combat and classic adventure remain part of the experience. I genuinely enjoy seeing players succeed and celebrate those moments with them. Respect for fellow players is essential, and the goal is for everyone to have fun while creating a memorable story together.
