About me
“Sometimes the only way to heal our wounds is to make peace with the demons who created them” -Dr. Ishiro Serizawa from Godzilla: King of the Monsters Or, in my opinion, manifest them and kill them in a game. I have been playing various types of roleplaying games for many many many years. I lived under a rock and used my imagination to take me places. I would read every book in the library to escape for brief moments of time. My favorites were always fantasy and it set me on a specific path. When my friends mentioned they wanted to show me something called 3.5 and I could kill dragons, I immediately jumped at the chance. It was a brand new system and I needed a new hobby to make my college nights less dull. I sadly only got the chance for one night of play due to reasons. However, I was hooked. I started to research the game and learn about as much of it as I could. The first campaign that I was finally part of used Pathfinder. I still have my mini and character sheet from that game and I still talk about the antics my first character got into. I was extremely fortunate to have a good DM as my first campaign DM. He explained how some parts were at the DMs discretion and he would say no to some of the more outlandish ideas of his players. It wasn't long before I wanted to be the narrator and tried my hand at DM'ing. I had a rather gentle opportunity to DM during Adventure League. The rules can be a little frustrating because it restricts me but it was a nice way for me to dip in my toes. It helped that I had extensive knowledge though sometimes my mind forgets which rules are 5e and which are Pathfinder and which are Savage Worlds. I have written a few homebrew campaigns and one of which I hope to continue. I have missed being part of the narrative. And I can only hope that after reading all this that you "let this moment be the first chapter, where you decide to stay". My DM'ing style is simple. I have a preference for roleplay and I enjoy tossing puzzles to players that seem interested in solving them. I have used Roll20 though I've been playing on Fantasy Grounds and I'm going to start using Foundry. I also use Discord and you'll be able to see my mischievous face while we play. A little about me outside of D&D. I am a woman of a billion hobbies. Cooking, baking, sewing (regular items, Ren Faire period costumes made mostly traditionally, ect), knitting, crochet, cross stitch, dance (I know fan dancing, belly dance, salsa, tango, hip hop, swing (east coast and west coast), lindyhop, jazz, Irish step (though really rusty)...), karaoke, origami, board games, video games, digital art, martial arts, and probably more in the future. I multi-task often and can be a little scattered. I have 4 cats and you'll most likely see them jump on the back of my chair to watch the action. I was an acting major and business admin minor in college though I never finished my degree and probably never will. I've acted on stage several times during college and enjoyed it. When I was living in Ohio, I was part of the Ohio Ren Faire and you can still find photos of me. I was a pirate at first and later became part of the court. I can't wait to see ya'll in game!
GM Style
I deeply enjoy giving each NPC I control individual personalities to help players allow themselves to be drawn into the story itself. I do my best to encourage players to decide where the story takes us and I am very good at adlibbing when needed. I can create story ideas out of thin air and you'll hear me frantically typing notes for myself because I won't remember what I just suddenly decided to take people. I try to help players have good synergy without doing any type of forced teamwork. I like to see players have their characters grow together to all be part of the story. I am perfectly okay if characters decide to run in opposite directions and will try to go back and forth between scenes so everyone is participating. I do prefer story telling and will encourage roleplay over creating combat situations. If my players all seem to prefer mainly combat, I will adjust but there will be necessary moments where RP is needed. At least a tiny bit. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable but to me, the fun of a RPG is the roleplay itself. I will flavor my games using experiences from acting and being on cast at Ren Faire, books, movies, and TV shows. I also have a horrible tendency to speak in random quotes that no one ever remembers and will also randomly hint at song lyrics. And I also have a small background in various Myths and Legends. I am always learning and if I misquote or misread something, don't hesitate to point it out. I value having people help me learn. I don't know everything. But I'm really good at research and adlibbing. So sometimes it might just seem like I know everything.......do not believe it!

I played now a good 4-5 Sessions with Kali and it was a blast. She actively helped me with my character, gave me some help writing them. One thing is clear, with Kali fun is in the foreground. She is willing to let the party go of the beaten patch and enjoys the antics we are throwing at her. All in all a great DM, I definitely recommend.
