About me
Hello, my name is Julia I'm a GM based in Glasgow, Scotland. I know a variety of systems and I've been running regular games since 2016. My main experience is with D&D but I know a bunch more. I am self employed so I can run games pretty much any time and I'm happy to run online or in person within Glasgow. I am a theatre performer and writer with the rest of my time so I pride myself on running an engaging and exciting game for all my players. I am also trans myself and I encourage any queer people who feel a bit anxious about entering a space that feels very male and cis-het to join my table. I will take anyone so long as they'll take me. This all sounds very boring, idk how to make it interesting. I have a phobia of forks and once met the president of Slovenia. Is that anything?
GM Style
I am to my core a story teller. I love being able to build stories with my players, creating conflict and giving people satisfying resolutions. I am always excited to bring out people's creativity as well. I know it can be intimidating to dive into roleplay and I'm happy to coax you into living the life of your psionic space-pirate or brooding druid fantasies. My approach to RPGs comes from a genuine love for every player and what they can bring to each session. I want to get excited by what you can bring.

Julia was such a fantastic DM! we closed out our Dragon Heist campaign this past weekend and I always had a blast with Julia and the other folks at the table. Julia focuses on great storytelling and involving the characters details and backstories and builds a great atmosphere at the table - plenty of laughs, serious moments, puzzles and mysteries and tactical combat. We were never slowed down because we were stuck, Julia was there to give us gentle nudges in a direction. Highly recommended :)
Julia is allowing us to explore our character's downtime as we rebuild a house and create our own businesses. I have never been given the freedom and free time in a game to do this. Our game is so much fun. Julia creates a safe space to role play, explore your character in new directions and brings a solid campaign with great maps.
A great DM who made me feel welcome and integrated my character seamlessly into the story, even though I only joined the campaign an hour before session start. Excellent story telling skills that made the world and characters feel alive. She makes sure that everyone at the table is comfortable and engages with the players on a personal level. As a fellow newbie I would recommend her highly to anyone feeling unsure or nervous about dipping their toes into D&D. (Also, she allows rolling physical dice which is *insert clacking sounds* awesome.)
Great Table and those kinda things only happen when you have a great DM. Laid out great ground rules that made me feel safe and included. Does a great job of giving space for roleplay while also knowing when to get the story moving. Would recommend for members of the LGBTQ community or anyone new to the game.
Games with Julia are enchanting and exciting. It’s clear that she is totally dedicated to creating a really inclusive, fun, engaging world. Her npcs are full of quirks and secrets, her storylines twist and turn, keeping you on your toes and, surely at some point a big reveal will make you question everything. Julia is incredibly patient and is a fountain of knowledge so beginners are in safe hands. She is flexible and adapts to how the party want to play. If you want to go off piste and spend a week in a town you were only supposed to be passing through, she will facilitate it seamlessly. Julia is excellent at expanding the world on the spot, improvising and building whole cities in a second. Most importantly, she knows just when to guide you back to the action.
