About Davide
I have cultivated a deep passion for board games for many years, an interest that has been part of my life since childhood, combining creativity, logic, and teamwork. I’ve always been fascinated by the design of rules and systems, and by how mechanics shape the players’ experience. I discovered Dungeons & Dragons about five years ago, and after just over a year of playing, I decided to take on the role of Dungeon Master. Since then, I have created and run multiple campaigns — some inspired by Ancient Greece, others set in more traditional fantasy worlds, always of my design. As a Dungeon Master, I enjoy introducing new mechanics, playtesting custom rules, and gathering player feedback to make each session more engaging and dynamic. I strongly believe in experimentation and in building shared storytelling experiences where the narrative comes to life through collective creativity.

How Davide runs games
In my games, players can expect a rich mix of storytelling, strategy, and discovery. Each campaign begins with a shared creative session where we define the setting, the themes, and the tone together. From there, I build the world and story around the characters’ motivations and backstories, ensuring that everyone feels connected to the narrative. I enjoy blending different styles of play — roughly five sessions out of nine are a mix of action and storytelling, two are dedicated to deep roleplay and social interaction, and two focus on classic dungeon exploration. I like to challenge my players with clever puzzles, references to real-world history, and subtle wordplay that reward curiosity and creative thinking. I value teamwork and shared spotlight: I often favor support-oriented builds and mechanics that allow everyone to shine since by definition they cannot act alone. I love running games for strong, imaginative players who are ready for epic adventures and collaborative storytelling, where every choice can shape the fate of the world but everyone is welcome P.S. I may use a tad too many puns

I once ran a session...
for 10h strait so no session can scare me now
My games focus on...
whatever the group chooses at session 0 but usually travel political intrigue and secret plots
Rules are...
Rules are like training wheels — great to start with, but way more fun to ditch once you’re speeding downhill towards a failure
Davide's ideal table
Very energy dependent, so changes time to time from high role play to gritty fighting to pp jokes and tom and jerry-esque behaviours. Whatever the party and I feel that day that goes.

I love it when a player
Comes up with intresting or out of left field. ideas, plot developments or all-round badass stuff. May be worthy of inspiration.
I think metagaming...
Metagaming in D&D is like cheating in a single-player game — fun at first, but it quickly gets stale unless the stakes keep rising. During level-ups, coordination’s fine, but mid-session I suggest two fixes: plan in-character or act as a “voice in the head” for another PC.
I think min/maxing...
Can be done and can be fun — but remember, you’re just one among many. Everyone should feel equally strong in their own way, or it becomes unbalanced. If you really want to min-max, go for a support/control build that relies on teamwork — that, I’ll allow
