Josh is a terrific DM, who has been running out current game for many months now. We are a newbie party, and for many of us it's our first time playing DnD, but Josh has been guiding us effortlessly through the campaign. On top of the overarching story, Josh also crafts artful asides for individual characters, so they can flesh out their back stories or gain some cool new loot (our Gnomish Bard in particular is very pleased with her new magic sword). Would heartily recommend Josh to anyone looking for a fun and dynamic gaming experience!

Josh is a master at world-building, dialogue, and improvisation. Our DnD campaign has felt totally organic; we can never tell what he's got up his sleeve! He can take some crazy (and maybe not so smart!) ideas from our group and effortlessly spin them into the setting of our DnD campaign, never railroading us or making us feel like there's a 'wrong' choice. His ability to remember small details and work them into the story is genuinely impressive, and he always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone's included and having fun. As a DM, Josh is second to none, and he's a great laugh both in and out of the game world as well. This is a DM who's got a genuine love of the craft and every session has a been an absolute pleasure and a real adventure!

Josh is an excellent storyteller, and a fantastic DM. His characters are always interesting, and his voices for them range from intimidating to comical and every step in between. Any game he's leading is bound to be a delightful adventure, it's a rare treat to find a DM who cares about the structure of the game and the theatrical experience in equal measure.

Josh is the best GM I've had. His world-building, character voicing and evident love of the games he runs creates fun and immersive sessions with superb storytelling. He's also great at using music and soundscapes to seamlessly set the scene and bring deeper immersion. He strikes the balance between allowing for goofs and rewarding creative thinking, without letting things devolve into the kind of chaos that can ruin the experience for players who want to roleplay or engage more seriously - he knows the rules but allows for just the right amount of flexibility. He's also really good at looking after players and setting up a safe environment in session 0, as well as explaining things in an understandable way for those who haven't played before, making things feel fun and accessible from the get-go. Highly recommend!
