About me

Hi everyone I'm Jay wit a Y, pleased to be at your service. I'm 38 yrs old and I've been playing and Gming for 10 years now mostly dnd. I learned DnD during a very difficult and secluded time in my life and it changed me. Helped me to become more open to others and what they may be going through. For that i appreciate the TTRPGS and i appreciate you all as well.

GM Style

My GM style is more on the grittier side of gaming for those who like a tougher challenge. Will you dare enter the Vault of Terror, Or brave the Fierce and Stormy Seas? No, would you rather Delve into the Depths of the Underworld and its many twisting and winding caverns? Where will your wanderlust take you next? Will you keep your wits about you or burst under pressure?? Will you live to tell the tale??? Or will your souls be added to the Ocean of Failed Expeditions?????? Hop in and test yourselves and your teammates in these high octane open world fantasy dives where we all create epic and memorable moments that last a life time!

I've been playing Jay for many years online, as both a fellow player and as my DM. Jay has all the skills, experience, and tools to create a great DnD experience for any table, but I'd say he's especially skilled at providing a challenge for advanced players. I know that when I'm playing with Jay that he won't pull his punches and that he wouldn't want me to pull mine. For me, it creates a better sense of immersion, danger, and accomplishment.

Knows the game very well and tells a smooth story with recaps at the beginning of each session to bring the players up to speed. Handles rules fairly and deals with confrontations between players very well.

While his style is different than I'm used to, he is fun to play for.

It's still going! We're not even done yet! It's a slow burn with political intrigue and a backdrop of war and conflict. Combat is challenging but our DM is super chill so it doesn't feel nerve-wracking and overwhelming. DM is very open to feedback in terms of pacing and balancing encounters so it always feels challenging but not insurmountable. Enemies don't always hold back either, so there feels like there's some consequences for actions. We've TPK'd once already and we were still able to weave that first attempt into the story so our second party could go further. Am still fairly new to TTRPGs compared to the rest of the party yet I've never felt "behind" in terms of knowledge or skill. We have a weird array of backgrounds and backstories but we've all been incorporated into the storyline as well.

He has a way of bringing you straight to the scene. Every creature, every NPC, is voiced dynamically. Creativity is easy for this man and he knows his stuff. He is fair and fun to play with and I would do a one shot or a full campaign under this GM any day of the week.
