About Javi
I'm experienced dm on classic games like MERP, dnd, vampire, l5r and others. Some years ago I transitioned to PbtA, FitD games. I enjoy all lengths from one-shot to long campaigns but prefer mid games around 5 sessions. I'm also well known for being a teacher of different systems or role playing in general

I got started GMing...
very long ago. for my group of friends, in VtM 1e MERP and other super old games. Then we've been transitioning to whatever pops and finally we landed in the PbtA FitD ecosystem and we love it

How Javi runs games
I focus on scenic, movie-like punchy scenes, player evolution, cooperative world-building, and strong roleplay. I'm easy-going with the rules (hence my preference for rules-lite games). I enjoy dark, mysterious themes with the occasional light joke, though I prefer to avoid jester-type characters. I gravitate toward mystery solving, politics, and roleplay-heavy games with short, impactful combat rather than tactical simulations. That said, I don’t shy away from a good final boss. ;) From a technical standpoint, I rely heavily on clocks, theater-of-the-mind play, and quick hand-drawn sketches. For that reason, I sometimes use homemade software that handles clocks, dice, and sketching. I’m not a native English speaker, but I work full-time in an English-only company, so I feel comfortable running games in English. I can also DM in Spanish or Català if the whole table prefers it. I’m very open-minded regarding gender, race, or ideology—I truly don’t care about any of that at the table. I’m also careful to respect any lines and veils agreed upon beforehand and strive to keep my tables safe and friendly.
