About me
Hello! I'm here because I love gaming, and like to eat food and sleep indoors. A bit about my qualifications: -I've been playing and running games since 1979 -I've run many (many) convention games, so experienced with new tables -I'm a novelist as well, and love spinning amazing stories with my fellow gamers -I've written in the industry since the 1990s, including Achtung! Cthulhu, Pathfinder, Paranoia, Call of Cthulhu, GURPS, and even a little D&D. -I'm friendly as heck A bit about the games I run: -I prioritize Rule of Cool. If you want to be awesome and the rules don't cover it, we find a fair way to make it happen. If the rules _technically_ say it's so, but we agree it's lame or cheesy, we chuck it. -I tend to lean more into the combat/problem solving than straight RP...say a 65/35 split. -I'm happy doing high-energy one-shots and long-term campaigns with grand character and story arcs I can't wait to meet you!
GM Style
Story and character forward, with lots of combat, exploration, and puzzles. I sometimes do voices, but my teenage son says I'm embarrassing when I try. I aim for a humorous table, though we can build tense moments when it's called for.

Creativity
Storytelling
Inclusive
The aspects of gaming that interest me most are interactive storytelling and using character attributes creatively to solve interesting situations. Elaborate rules and high-fire combat, not so much. Jason runs a very story-oriented game and encourages players to do fun stuff at every turn.
Had an amazing time playing fiasco last night with Jason and a few others. Jason was extremely organized and very familiar with the game. He used resources to make the game more streamlined resulting in maximized game-time. I would highly recommend Jason to any player, regardless of the players skill level /experience.
I've been playing in a D&D campaign run by Jason for the past 1.5 years. He's the best GM I've ever had. He is creative, fun, and flexible. Our group has a mix of veteran players and newbies, and he does a great job of making everyone feel like an important part of the team. Jason is also an author, so the game's story elements are detailed and interesting. He keeps the pace moving and is great at crowd control. He knows the rules like the back of his hand (he once let slip that he's been playing since before d20s were easily accessible), but he loves the rule of cool and sometimes incorporates mechanics from other RPG systems into his game if they fit the story. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
