About James Layton

I've been DMing for 8 years now and professionally DMing for over 2. I want to make collaborative stories with my players! I'm here to present challenging situations with hard-hitting feelings that allow people to explore a world and characters while walking away with memories that they can look back on and share with others. My tables are inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly! I have a lot of experience with 5e and Pathfinder 2e, but I'm always interested and excited to learn new systems. I have a lot of experience playing with new and old players and parties with mixed experience levels. I've worked on quite a bit of homebrew content and love making new and unique rewards for the efforts my players put into our adventures.

How James Layton runs games

I love roleplaying and try to do a lot of different voices with my characters, combats can be crunchy or light depending on player preference but will have interesting mechanics to them regardless. I enjoy utilizing different skills and environmental factors in problem-solving. I'm a big fan of rule of cool story telling, and am willing to work with players, within reason, to accomplish something they wanna do with the mechanics available to us in the system we're using.
