About DM Mech
D&D has been my passion ever since I started playing when I was 16. I've been a Dungeon Master for 9 years now and am working tirelessly to make my passion into a career. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my craft and new tools/tactics to use to give players the best possible experience. I operate here and Discord, though Discord is my primary channel for running sessions. My discord is ItzJustMech #7590 if you would rather reach out to me there.

I became a GM because
My brothers and I were taking turns running d&d games, back when I was first introduced. One of the games I ran was a One Piece D&D, which was a big hit! We played that campaign for over 4 years before it ended, and I've been the Designated DM ever since.
When I'm not running games I'm...
playing video games, working, or watching anime usually!
How DM Mech runs games
I love running a sandbox D&D that has a plot, but lets the characters set the course and interact with the world as they see fit. I put a lot of thought and development into creating believable villains and entertaining combat encounters to keep the players on their toes and engaged. I love working with players for shenanigans, so long as it doesn't take away from the fun of other players.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a temporary ruling, looking it up later, and then informing everyone of what the ruling ends up being going forward.
My favorite trope is...
The character that goes against their class or species stereotypes.
When it comes to voices
I'm getting better, but I'm no voice actor

I love it when a player
Takes notes or recognizing when moments of foreshadowing finally pay out.
My perfect party mix is
A full table of players who play as the character they want to play rather than trying to "fill the gaps" with what the party "needs". A naturally balanced team? Cool. A team with 2 rogues and 4 barbarians? Very fun. The game is more fun when you enjoy your character, IMO.
