About Hayden Kammer
Hi! My name is Hayden, I am a young DM and I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about 4 years now, and DMing for 3. I started professionally DMing at the beginning of the pandemic, and I fell in love with it! Here are some things about my DMing style and general notes: 1. I love creating an engaging narrative for players to fully immerse themselves in. On a macro-sense, this typically involves intertwining players' backstories to certain plot-hooks, NPCs, or encounters. In a typical session there would be ample amounts of opportunities to roleplay, as well as engage in the environment around you! 2. Dungeons and Dragons is a game, and as such we should have fun with it! Any hate speech (including homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.) will automatically get you banned from the game, without any hesitation. Insults and other derogatory comments will result in a strike, and 3 strikes and you're out! 3. Absolutely no cheating is allowed, and will result in two strikes if caught. 4. Before the session 0, players will fill out a survey sheet asking questions like available times or content you want avoided in the game. 5. Each campaign will have a free session 0 and a session 1. This is to see if we mesh well as a group together, and is a sort of trial. 6. We will mainly play using theater of the mind and on discord using Avrae! Depending on the module, we may use Roll20 for maps! Here are some general types of games I run: 1. I run "Lost Mines of Phandelver" for beginner players to help them learn the rules. 2. I have run "Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos" for college students before which was a ton of fun. 3. I do take requests, but would ask if players could pitch in to cover some of the fees if it's a module I don't own(like Roll20). 4. I do varying types of one-shots, most of the time by request or a seasonal thing. 5. I also offer a unique style of game which I call "training", where you create a character and can test out different combat abilities and styles in various terrains. This helps players figure out how to do maximum damage in a minimum amount of time. Here are some unique rules I having during my games: 1. For character stats we roll 4d6, reroll any 1's, then drop the lowest. 2. For most campaigns, a backstory would be required for each character. If you need help with coming up with one, I'm definitely available to help. 3. You will have access to use anything on DNDBeyond besides homebrew, unless discussed first and talked to me. 4. We mainly play by "rule of cool", and very few times will things like "rules lawyering" come into effect. 5. Most campaigns will be played with milestone advancement. What do I have to offer that's different than other DM's? As a player, you would have access to the entirety of content available on DNDBeyond through the "content share" with the legendary bundle. This means you can create a character that you truly enjoy, as well as have access to content that you may not otherwise have. On top of that, I am always available to answer questions, help with the rules, and bounce ideas off each other! I hope to offer a fun, safe, and inclusive atmosphere that everyone can learn and grow as people. At the end of the day, Dungeons and Dragons is a fun game that tells a unique story, and I would be honored to help facilitate your stories.

How Hayden Kammer runs games
I prefer roleplay encounters with a hint of combat here and there, but that doesn't stop me from running combat-heavy games! I am pretty flexible with whatever suits the groups preferences.
