About me

I am a writer and storyteller first. My GM style is informed by my past as an author and longtime RPG player. As GM, I tend towards a "rules-lite" approach that favors story flow over getting bogged down in the details. I mostly work with 5th Edition but I am adaptable to other systems. I also have some experience with 2nd Edition if you're keen to try AD&D. My influences include many of the greatest science fiction and fantasy authors of all time. My storytelling style is adaptable to many kinds of settings, including science fiction and time travel/steampunk/urban fantasy, or whatever homebrew you might be keen on trying out. I am also a practitioner of runecraft, so if you want to incorporate the Norse runic system in your game somehow, I am open to working something out.

GM Style

Outside of GMing, I love to read to people, and of course I do all the voices and accents. You certainly can't beat some good tactical combat for fun, but I also most definitely reward intelligent roleplay that leads to a nonviolent solution. I love to subvert established tropes, drawing on my knowledge of classic science fiction and fantasy to give my worlds a touch of both magic and realism when you least expect it.
