About Bean Sama
I have enjoyed playing DnD for the past 3 years or so and have played in 5 campaigns, three of which I DM'd. I am well acquainted with 5e 2014 rules and have also played in homebrew. My favorite classes are Cleric and Fighter. In my homebrew, I made a Persona DnD and a Monster Hunter DnD campaign. My current project is a West-Marches traditional 5e game set in a homebrew world!

I became a GM because
I wanted to spread the joy of the first time I played DND. It felt magical, almost as if i felt my life change. For those that are invested, or casual, I want to bring my stories to them.
My favorite shows/movies are
Gurren Lagann, House, and Chainsaw Man Reze Arc are some of my favorite pieces of fiction. Many characters and plots I incorperate might be inspired from one of these ips.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Thinking about future plot points, new mechanics, or quest to play. And when I'm not doing that, I'm enjoying a video game or two
How Bean Sama runs games
I enjoy a mix of both, but expect more of a combat encounter style. Likely a session will be mostly comprised with a combat, with roleplay needed to introduce and close out the session. I usually follow certain rules, and make some of my own. Like if you nat 1, you instantly end your turn. As well as potions as a bonus action. I'm always open to suggestion, but many things i ask are ran by me before playing. Things like character ideas, items you want, etc. I want people to have fun, but also want to present a threat. SO sometimes my combats can run very long/difficult.

My games focus on...
Combat heavy, but story rich adventures. I like memorable locations that could revisited over and over again. Not only that, but letting the players use their abilities as much as possible. I try to focus every quest around the people who go, that way they feel like they are engaged no matter what.
Rules are...
Meant to be followed. To a degree. I usually like to look at a rule and think about why it is the way it is. if it holds the game back, or seems unfit for my campaign, I want to discuss with players about altering/removing it.
When it comes to voices
I have to admit I am pretty samey. If it's effeminate, i might add a higher pitch whisper. But most characters sound the same except for gag characters, which can be few and far between. Though, I'm never opposed to attempting accents.
Bean Sama's ideal table
I like people who are engaged. People who like asking questions, and are intrigued with their situation. I love players that can think rationally though situations, but also have the ability to do whatever on the fly. I'm always willing to teach and discuss, but the one thing i absolutely do not like: Playing the game for someone. Don't ask me the GM or a player what you should do in an integral moment. It's your character, and we all want to see you play them! OF course, this doesn't include group deliberations.

I am for a vibe that's...
chill and funny. I like people that can play off each other, even when at first glance, you wouldn't think they could. It's fun when people of different backgrounds can come together, and make their own sense of fun.
I love it when a player
Engages with the party and character. I like when they can take a serious, goofy, or moody tone. You don't have to be expressive, just read the room and create a fun vibe.
I think min/maxing...
is not the worse. There is a place for them in any situation. Sometimes, a player just needs to be strong. It's only bad when they let the min maxing get in the way of other player's enjoyment. You can be powerful and still let others share the spotlight.
