About me

For the last 20 years, I have enjoyed playing and creating worlds for my players to live in. I find joy, in creating and learning with other players on building out worlds and really building out the players and char. I love when players change out the story due to the changes that players make and change the choices and the flow. W

GM Style

I believe one of the greatest strengths of TTRPGs is their ability to create unique stories that are built on the characteristics of its main cast (the Player Characters!). That's why I work to provide an interesting world for players to explore and serve as a neutral arbiter for those explorations. I adapt the story to fit any decisions or actions the characters may take. You can expect to face challenging encounters and tense moments, and when you triumph, you'll know you did so on your own merits. I trust my players to forge their own narrative, and I've never been disappointed by the incredible stories they create. My DM style is a combination of role-play and combat. I use battle maps as visual aids and to help streamline combat. I love to role-play, and I encourage all my players to stay in character as much as possible with no meta-gaming. I play a sandbox-style world with a multitude of story threads. I try to play as closely to the rules as possible. But I always go for the rule of cool over the rules as written as they are mainly just guidelines. I never fudge the dice because I believe the integrity of the game is important and the randomness of the games is what makes it fun. I am quick to adapt the story as you can never fully anticipate how the players will make their decisions for action. I always prefer balanced games that involve a little bit of everything. Variety makes the sessions flow easier and keeps players from getting bored. However, I can do more combat/tactics heavy or more roleplay heavy ones depending on how the group wants to play. If you choose to play in my homebrew worlds, you will be chain-free. No railroading. The world will be shaped from your actions and everything you do, even the tiniest decision or action might ripple out and change things forever. This means that there is lots of freedom given to the players and each group makes a unique story of their own. There are times I will suggest certain options over others to have a smoother session (for example, not splitting the group) but that doesn’t mean you have to take that suggestion. Maybe your character will be epic, maybe dramatic, maybe you'll decide to be merchants and buy everyone else out. In case of premade adventures, I'll do my best to add flexibility to those as well. I value players who play the game as an alive story, rather than as a video game. I love players who will roleplay their characters with the rest of the group, who will interact with the world and inquire about it, but also players who will try to use various tactics in combat, instead of just doing the same attack over and over. This helps players guessing and can lead to some big surprises in the story.
