About Brandon
Hello, adventurer! I'm Brandon. I've been playing RPGs for nearly a decade now and running games for about 5 years. I've run games for hundreds of people at conventions like Gen Con and at local game stores for in-person play events. My RPG journey began when I begged a friend to run me through a D&D campaign, and after 3 sessions, the group fell apart. Another friend got me into solo/co-op play and ever since then I have been hooked on the hobby. Fast-forward to now, and I'm designing games, writing adventures, and collaborating on other projects. I've published my own game and have had supplements I've written published in collaboration with others. My favorite part of running games is helping new players engage in the hobby and learn new games. I'm happy to teach and learn alongside my players. My goal as a GM is to engage with you, the player, and guide you through your own fantastic journey. RPGs are the ultimate collaborative storytelling medium, and I love to see others' creativity. Let's roll some dice and tell a story together!

How Brandon runs games
Roleplay Heavy- I put the narrative first and empower player choice. I'll use poorly executed voices to draw players in. Theatre of the mind- where players can contribute to the locations they explore and the people they meet. Rule of Cool: if something narratively makes sense and would be really cool to do, then I'm absolutely ok with bending rules to see these things play out. Actions have reactions- Player's choices and actions will have an impact on the world. I won't say all actions have consequences, but they do make a difference.

When it comes to voices
I definitely use voices though I'm no voice actor. Your favorite NPC's voice may slightly change from time to time, but that helps makes them even more fun!
Brandon's ideal table
We all enjoy playing off each other with players roleplaying full conversations with each other and NPCs. When things get serious, the players pick up the tone and get serious, leaning into the emotion of the scene. But with downtime, jokes are being made, goofy encounters happen, and shenanigans occur. I'd love to see my players contribute to the world, things like factions, locations, NPCs, and help shine the spotlight on every player at the table.

I think min/maxing...
Min/maxing is impressive to me. I fully support it and love seeing players get into the nitty-gritty of having the perfect build. I'd never do it, but I'd also never shame min/maxing.
