Hey, you there! Are you looking for someone who can transport you and your friends to a mystical world and back? Do you want a DM who can give your PC the glory and renown they deserve? Or, are you looking for someone who can show you the ropes on how to play D&D 5e? Well, maybe I can be of assistance! Howdy! I’m GibberyWarden, or Gibbery for short! I’m an aspiring artist, voice actor, writer and all-out nerdy fellow! I specialise in running campaigns for beginners, particularly Dragons of Stormwreck Isle with some fun home-brewed edits. I have been DMing private games of 5th Edition D&D for three years, with an emphasis on cooperation, fun and serious roleplaying. I use Roll20 for gameplay, D&D Beyond for character sheets, and my Discord server for voice chats! Like the Gibbering Mouther my persona is inspired by, I am capable of doing numerous voices and impressions that will make any encounter unique! Not to mention, like its fluid form I am flexible in tailoring any privately-requested campaigns to what you, the client, would like. How GibberyWarden runs games
If you’d like to make a booking with me, you can expect to find the following in my GMing style: -Organisation: While I encourage any of my players to keep track of things, don’t be afraid if you’ve forgotten something! I note down and categorise everything that happens in our sessions together, from what creatures you’ve fought to how much gold your party has! I understand the importance of preparation and consistency, which is why I carefully plan each session, create detailed storylines, and keep track of everything from character arcs to world-building elements. I also maintain open channels for updates, feedback, and scheduling, so you’re always kept in the loop! -Patience: For beginners, no one learns or improves while under pressure. This is why I value and encourage being patient in our games for people who have just started! If you’re new to D&D and are still trying to understand the rules, I will help you through any queries or if you get stuck. While I will be making sure combat moves quick enough so that it doesn’t stall or it doesn’t become boring, you can expect me to always lend a helping hand if you’re stuck. -Communication: No team task was ever completed without efficient communication and open discussions! As a DM who values transparent and effective communication, I ensure that every player is on the same page and fully engaged in the adventure. From scheduling to in-game dialogue, I keep the lines of communication open and make sure everyone’s voice is heard. If you have a question, if you’ve lost the plot or if you need to talk to me during or after a session, I’m always open! -Understanding: Teamwork makes the dream work, and if not everyone is on the same page then we can’t make our campaign the best it can be. I believe that a positive, safe, and inclusive experience starts with mutual respect and understanding. Before our game begins, I will go through a session zero where we can discuss what subjects trigger you or what you might want to avoid in our games. If you’re ever uncomfortable during a session for any reason, you only need to tell me privately or publicly, and we can adjust from there. In all my games, I want to create a welcoming environment where everyone’s boundaries are honored, and every player’s comfort is a top priority. -Imagination: Now for the fun part! You can expect our games and the world we create to be vibrant and colourful with all kinds of faces, cultures and creatures. I like to foster a relaxed and enjoyable setting where everyone’s ideas are valued, and no one feels left behind. Diversity and imagination are key to making an incredible world, so I am welcome to any ideas you want to bring in!
