About me
My name's Jack - I'm a GM with on-and-off ten years of experience playing and running games. Recently got back into the hobby, invigorated by Pathfinder 2E and looking to share the system around a little bit! I'm looking to run primarily Adventure Paths, which'll get heavily customized and shuffled up depending on player choice and the vibe of the group. I like a relaxed vibe but a tight pace! We're all here to have fun, but the money you pay is a big investment and I want to make sure every game is worth it. I'll focus on letting you flex your mechanical awareness while I steer you towards cool, impressive moments and make sure there's space enough for everyone to get their moments. No seven or eight player games just so I get paid more, here - I value quality, not quantity! If one of my listed games interests you but the time doesn't work, please get in touch! I'm very flexible and can easily shuffle around and see if we can find something that works for everyone. I'm happy to run for pre-established full groups or solo/smaller groups who are looking to meet with some new players.
GM Style
As a Pathfinder 2 GM I consider myself sensibly mechanics driven; In combat or Skill Challenges I play it close to as written, to make sure everybody is coming in with similar expectations and nobody feels put-out. Outside of combat things might be a little looser - If a rule is simple or people know it off by heart we'll use that, but if it's a small event and knowing the specifics would take way, way too long? I have enough system knowledge to set a challenge and let us move on, success or fail! I do some voices and acting but try not to go overboard. This isn't Critical Role, and Pathfinder's at its best when you're in dramatic, dangerous life or death scenarios. I'll be doing everything in my power to avoid a shopping session, or hours upon hours of no-tension, consequence-free chit-chat.

We played Rusthenge and I really enjoyed it. He was very good on rule knowledge and open to clarifying anything that was misunderstood and clarify rules. He was also very helpful when it came to advising as to items to choose for the adventure without giving spoilers, which saved me from spending my gold on an item that would have seen no use. The lore of the setting and the monsters was presented in a way that struck a good balance between being deep and spending too much time listening to a monologue, and the GM was knowledgeable and willing to expand on bits we found interesting. The roleplay was adequate and fitted my specific taste, there was a bit of talking in character but beyond that point, the information obtained or the conversation was summarised, which kept the game moving at a good pace and not bogged down on "the musings of the merchant you met one morning" Whilst still giving a good feel for the place and atmosphere. If you are keen on a theatrical RP experience this GM might not be for you, but for me, it was a good balance of atmosphere vs gameplay. I would love to be a player at his table any time

Jack has done a wonderful job of helping me learn more about PF2e and have a ton of fun while playing! I've felt super comfortable at his table and playing as a newer PF2e player. Looking forward to continuing the adventure!

Jack is a great GM with a really good sense of humour and an infectious enthusiasm for Pathfinder. He sets a good pace when running games and gives players plenty of room for choices, consequences and engaging gameplay.

I really enjoyed my games with Jack. He’s a very friendly and patient GM, who has a really good grasp on the PF2E rules. Every session, and the campaign as a whole, was extremely well paced, with Jack having a keen sense of when to take time over a scene or encounter and when to speed things along. His communication in and out of game was excellent. He had a great pre campaign chat with us to make sure we would all be a good fit together, was flexible with us moving around our start time to work for everyone, and also spent plenty of time outside of sessions to discuss and help us refine our character choices. If you're looking for someone to run an engaging campaign, particularly one that is a bit more focussed on the tactical combat side of PF2E as opposed to something super RP heavy, I can highly recommend!
