About Flux
Hi Folks, Let's play something new. Have you tried PbtA games: Masks, Apocalypse Keys or Monster of the Week (Codex of Worlds!)? Either way, let the fun and stories begin. Want to try something else? Don't know what those are? I'll teach you! I'm a professor, a novelist, a business owner, a game developer and a dad. I've been actively playing D&D and other RPGs for more than forty years! Over those years I've moved from deep crunch into story telling and character development. From that standpoint, I have a lot of fun in games where the actions of the game system itself push the game forward. I love when the system is light so that it is easy to pull players in. So, I love bringing new players into the fold of RPG and teaching/learning new systems (that's the professor in me). I own several dozen RPG systems that I've never GM'd but I'm anxious to give a try. My interests in types of game systems span the gamut of crunch to fluff - anything from PbtA style to D&D. I own systems that span the gamut from Blades to Apocalypse Keys to MotW to Cyberpunk to Shadowrun to Masks to Champions (in no specific order). If you don't know some of those short names or acronyms - that's okay! Again I love to teach. In any case, let's have some fun together. Best, - flux

How Flux runs games
I enjoy player interaction and player investment. I like when players have motivations in the world they're occupying. I tend not to run modules as I generally don't want to railroad players into an adventure. On the other hand, I can span the gamut from crunch to roleplay. Lately I've been leaning into more story and roleplay oriented games that have easier buy in than crunch-heavy games. However, if you're looking for a crunchy game, I have fun there too.
