About me
Hello, my name is Paul and I've been running rpgs' in person for 40 years and online for the past five. I love to gather new people around the table to tell stories, build characters and have fun for a few hours. I am also a Certified Therapeutic Game Master, which means I run games for those who may have social anxieties or want to work on their social skills. I'm not a therapist but have good listening skills and an empathetic heart. Games should be fun, challenging with opportunities to get to know new people without the stress. I use safety tools like lines and veils and offer a survey (for brand new players or to anyone interested) to decide what kind of content will be acceptable or not acceptable in game. I cut my teeth on Dungeons and Dragons 1e but have DM'd D&D 5e, Pathfinder 1 and 2e, Shadowdark and Esper Genesis and continue to expand my rpg horizons and I hope you'll want to do the same.
GM Style
My style of play is the rule of cool. If there is a way for your character to do the amazing, I want to help your character do it. I like to bring NPCs to life and do voices, mostly badly.

I've played a couple of games with Paul now and he is a great GM! He gave us the freedom to explore the game, while still directing us toward our final goal. He created different and fantastical voices for each NPC we encountered and a load of fun and varied challenges that gave us opportunities for role-playing, combat and even puzzle solving. He packed a lot into our one-shot session! He had a great grasp of the mechanics of the game, as well as the storytelling. Definitely would game with Paul again. Highly recommended!
Paul was a terrific GM! He allowed players to have their cool moments but also allowed them to fail and fail hard. I had a great time playing with him. He really set the atmosphere and made the game come alive. One cool thing he did was award hero points for puns! Man, were the puns flying! I would play with Paul again.
