About Fea

Hello future adventurers! My name's Fea (pronounced like "tea") and I started playing TTRPGs at my local boardgame store just before the pandemic hit in 2020. I started running games myself in 2021 when a group of my friends wanted to be all Halfling party.

How Fea runs games

I really enjoy roleplay. I like to give NPCs memorable traits, voices/accents and while I do try my best, most of my NPCs end up having very accurate Australian accents and terrible everything-else-accents. I love the structure and rules in D&D combat as well. I like everyone to be on camera for my sessions. I think it really helps the flow of the session and it helps me to gauge enjoyment and pacing. I don't have to wonder if the silence is due to you deciding what you're going to do or if it's because you've forgotten to unmute yourself.

My games focus on...

Memorable NPCs and immersive scenes that include soundtracks or ambient noise. Letting the players develop their characters and how their character impact the world around them.

Rules are...

helpful in providing consistent game mechanics for the players.

Fea's ideal table

My DnD table is inviting, warm, and conversational. I like focusing on character relationships and personal stakes as well as combat that drives the story (I try to keep random encounters to a minimum). The tone is lighthearted and humorous and I tend to reward creative, funny solutions over brute force. Players that would fit well at my table would be players that like to play with others, not just alongside them. Players that build on the energy of the table and are more likely to engage with the NPCs. I want people who are there for the collective experience, not just their own hero moments.

I think it's a red flag when players...

try to justify and antisocial behaviour of their character by saying it's what their character would do.
