About Steven

I have been a Dungeon Master for 6+ years and have run many short and long term campaigns, both homebrew and modules. I love running games, prepping and creating a fun and immersive world, and seeing my players have fun. If the players are having fun then I'm having fun. When I do prep work I try and use maps for everything instead of relying on theater of the mind. For NPCs I try and flush them out and make each one that the party interacts with interesting and unique. The worlds I build are usually open like a sandbox so that the players feel like they can go anywhere and do anything they want to do, but I also give them plot hooks to help build a collaborative story that the players and I build together.

How Steven runs games

A Healthy mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration. I encourage my players to roleplay and stay in character when we play. When it comes to combat, I like to provide a challenging experience. The harder the challenge, the greater the reward.
