About me
Strong roleplaying, inventive storytelling, and intriguing characters are the core of what I do. I have been a DM for over 30 years, and have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience that serves me well at the game table. Even if you are new to the game, I love to teach people how much fun this can be! I am here to help any group of players have fun when they play, but also to experience something a bit different: attachment. Attachment to your character, to the other characters, to the world they live and adventure in. I also work very hard to help everyone at the table feel important, heard, and most of all invested in their characters and the story WE are telling together. I've played a ton of different games, but D&D 5th edition is my favorite to date. Together we can create magic!
GM Style
In my games, you can expect a lot of roleplaying, as an inventive world with intriguing people builds up around you and the other players. Most importantly, I strive to make everyone at the table feel invested, care about their character, and enjoy what happens in the stories we all tell together. A "player's DM" who prioritizes a fun time with a good gaming atmosphere. Feel safe to bring up character concepts and interesting ideas; if it makes sense, Steve'll find a way to integrate them and enrich the session and the campaign.

Play in one of Steve's games for years-Steve does a great job of allowing the player to be an important part of the story telling process. I felt as if I was helping him (and the other players) create a living world around us. We were encouraged to play our characters to their full potential and were supported through the process of developing our stories in the context of the overall adventure. Steve provides a perfect mix of hack N' slash and roleplaying.

Steve creates really interesting worlds and settings for us to explore and discover and uses great visuals to help expand the world even more. He also regularly tries to include character backstories to make the world feel more rich and personal. Steve also regularly checks in to find out how the players are feeling and if we want more or less of something within the game. I have had him as a GM for over a year now and I really enjoy every session.

Steve is by far one of the absolute best game masters one could ask for. His knowledge of the rules, mechanics, monsters, and more is by far extraordinary. He always encourages really fun innovative ideas as well as his ability to articulate your surroundings is phenomenal. I've never played with a GM that is as good as Steve. You are in luck with this GM, highly recommend 10/10

I've actually played 2 games with Steve since I've met him. He is by far the best DM I've had the pleasure of playing with. He weaves PC back stories into his campaign settings without breaking them. He is flexible with builds and play tactics, without going so far as to allow game breaking features and such. If you can explain reasonably why your odd ball idea or use of a skill/spell would be effective he will provide an appropriate check(s) to perform said act and roll with it accordingly. This has led to some memorable, and often hilarious, in game moments. I'd highly recommend Steve as a DM to experienced players and those looking to jump into their first every game alike.
