About DM Bryant
Dear Adventurer, You want more than dice rolls. You want a story worth remembering - one where your choices matter, your character evolves, and the world reacts to what you do. That’s exactly what I offer. I’m a full-time Dungeon Master with over 24 years of experience running immersive, high-stakes tabletop RPGs. I specialize in D&D 5th Edition, and I run all my games online using Foundry VTT - where thousands of hours behind the screen have taught me how to deliver seamless, cinematic, and unforgettable campaigns. There is no cost to you the player, for users it is completely free, there are no downloads, and the game runs on your internet browser! Whether we’re diving into political intrigue, surviving the untamed frontier, or uncovering ancient secrets in a high fantasy world, my sessions blend narrative depth with tactical challenge and meaningful exploration. I run a mix of homebrew and adapted adventures, tailored to fit each group. My goal is simple: to create a space where players feel engaged, respected, and empowered - and where the memories you make last long after the final session. If you're ready for a game where your actions have consequences, your choices drive the story, and you're part of something larger than a dungeon crawl, I’d be honored to be your GM. Let’s roll initiative on your next great adventure. – GM Bryant

My favorite shows/movies are
I am a fan of different family comedies- Malcolm in the Middle, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Scrubs, and Big Bang Theory. As far as movies, I haven't been very into many of the recent films, but films like Interstallar, First Knight, Troy, Gladiator, The King - these always spark my imagination!
My favorite system of all Time is
D&D: I always loved castles and knights, this game let me tell stories in that setting. It was the first system I learned, and the one I know the most about.
People are always surprised when I tell them
How long I have been a forever DM. Most don't even think I have been alive as long as I have been DMing. The next question is usually, "How old ARE you?"
How DM Bryant runs games
I specialize in games that emphasize rich roleplay and immersive storytelling. I bring every NPC to life with distinct voices and personalities, making each feel like a real individual in a living, breathing world. Whether you’re navigating a snow-laden forest, venturing into the shadowy depths of the Underdark, or traveling a bustling trade road, I want the environment to matter - every step your character takes should feel different. Combat is just as thoughtfully crafted. I incorporate dynamic elements like terrain, weather effects, hazards, traps, and a diverse mix of enemies to keep every encounter fresh, challenging, and meaningful. My goal is for the party to feel fairly tested - not just mechanically, but narratively as well. I use automation to speed up turns and resolve them quickly, so your turn comes back faster. I also integrate animations for almost every attack, feature, and spell - keeping you immersed, combat flowing smoothly, and your abilities coming alive on screen with cinematic effects. I run games using a mix of D&D 5e and 5.5e. I do not agree with all new updates made in the newer edition. That being said, I like the players having the breadth and options provided in 5.5e. New classes are available, as well as updated healing spells! Counterspell and Dispel Magic still work as their 2014 versions! New Surprise mechanics, and bonus action healing potions. This mix I believe works best for the world I am trying to portray - and is intuitive for the players to understand. There are a couple houserule options I also offer to the players, including easy weapon swapping, crunchy criticals, and full action healing potions! I present all options during session 0, and we either agree on these extra options or set them aside. I don’t just run the game - I support you outside of sessions as well. I’m always available to answer questions, and I provide weekly recaps so you never lose track of the story. My goal is to help you bring the character you envision to life. When you choose me as your DM, you’re not just booking a weekly game - you’re getting someone devoted to this craft, always working to make the experience seamless, immersive, and unforgettable.

My favorite trope is...
Try, Try, Try Again. In D&D a die roll should not be a trigger that leads to direct failure or success, but instead varying degrees of success or failure. A minor failure should lead to a setback, but not necessarily immediate failure. Let the players experiment with the world!
My games focus on...
Narration, Exploration, and Survival. I want the world to feel alive, not just in combat. I want games that focus on situations, not problems and answers. My games focus on Exploration- delving into unknown danger, Narration - every die roll is described in detail, and finally Survival.
Rules are...
Not set in stone, but the guidelines we use to bring consistency to our world. It doesn't mean miracles can't happen. Hell with so many gods, miracles do happen! In a moment of awesomeness, let the rules go! That being said, to keep consistency, only break them if it expands the story!
DM Bryant's ideal table
This is a welcoming, inclusive table where players of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to bring their characters- and their imaginations- to life. Whether you’re brand new to tabletop RPGs or a seasoned adventurer, you’ll find a space here that’s respectful, supportive, and focused on making sure everyone has fun. I do everything I can to deliver a smooth, immersive experience using FoundryVTT - complete with atmospheric maps, dynamic lighting, soundscapes, and interactive features that enhance the game without ever getting in the way of storytelling. If you’re new to Foundry or 5e, no problem - I’ll help you get up to speed quickly, without slowing the party down. Above all else, fun comes first. While I love crafting deep worlds and dramatic moments, I never lose sight of why we’re here: to enjoy ourselves. Whether you’re here for the story, the tactics, the roleplay, or just the laughs, you’ll find something to love at this table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Cthulu. Most of my games center around mysterious energies of the abyss. Because of this, many of my campaigns deal with aberrations, demons, and nonworldly entities.
I love it when a player
Interacts with my world in a way that hasn't been done before! Push the buttons! Pull the levers!
I think metagaming...
....is typically overstated. There are a few instances where metagaming can be an issue, but mainly that is when the metagaming becomes the time sink of the campaign as players spend most of their time planning rather then acting.
