About me

Hail and well met! I got my start as a TTRPG player in my early teens, and discovered the joy of GMing not long after that. I enjoy running different systems, picking and choosing what works best for the tone of the story I wish to tell, as well as the group of players I'm running for. I have run both in person games, as well as virtual games on Discord and Roll20. With a background in theater and improv, I like spinning my narratives around player actions, reacting to their characters' deeds to drive plot. As a GM, I prefer to sit in a cooperative role, as opposed to antagonistic, with my players, and tell a story together. That doesn't mean I take it easy on my players, however. I like my combat challenging, my exploration thought provoking, and my social interactions to matter. I'm not afraid to let a player character face the consequences of a few too many poor choices, and I enjoy experimenting with new house rules and augmenting RAW as necessary to give an adventure some much needed weight or higher stakes. Some extra drama is always fun as well! Currently I am working on running D&D5e with the possibility of more narrative heavy games in the future such as City of Mist. I can't wait to roll some dice with you!

GM Style

I like to run games with interesting settings for my player characters to explore. My plots are often driven by discovery, and getting my players to learn the world through exploration, and utilize their new understanding to move the story along is my ultimate goal. To that end, every encounter I build, whether combat, social, or environmental, is meant to supply knowledge to the player, and give them more tools to use in future conflicts. I prefer to be cooperative with my players, collaborating on backstories, scheming with some and sharing secrets with others, getting them to tell the story as much as I do.
