About Curtis Godzisz
The first ever TTRPG I played was back in 2018 where a group of my friends and I all had the collective thought of "we should try out DnD, it might be fun" and oh how correct we were. Since we were all learning together I bit the bullet and offered to GM, which means the first time I played DnD was as the GM. I definitely made many mistakes but at the end of each night we had many laughs and somehow the story kept moving forward. Since then I've been playing/GMing DnD 5e/2024 weekly. I'm definitely open to other systems but DnD 5e/2024 are the systems I have, by far, the most experience in.

How Curtis Godzisz runs games
I absolutely love roleplaying and only love it more as time has gone on. I'm all about having fun with cool people. Jokes and bits are great and will definitely get you inspiration at my table. I aim for combat to feel difficult but fair and, in general, I try to give boss fights unique mechanics that add to the tension. The rule of cool is always in play and I'm always around to answer questions or help when and where I can. No player is getting left behind and I want players to feel like their character is awesome (because lets face it, it is) but I'm not against rerolling/making changes if the character just isn't what the player was hoping it to be. From power gamers to literal first timers, the goal is to have fun and I'm here to help facilitate that experience.

I deal with rules issues by...
In general I'm pretty loose with the rules but it all depends on what we discuss in the session 0. Overall rule of cool beats anything imo, but ultimately if the group is for or against something I'm totally fine with doing homebrew stuff OR if the group wants to stick to the rules, cool.
Rules are...
-Racism/Bigotry/Misogyny/Homophobia/Transphobia will never be tolerated. -Rule of cool is always best. -Please be respectful towards each other. We're here to have a nice time. -If you have a question please ask, always happy to help.
When it comes to voices
Do what you feel comfortable doing. The table will always be a safe space and if you wanna' try something, I say go for it. I personally find it easier to keep things straight (in character/out of character) if you do use a voice of some kind but it is by no means required.
Curtis Godzisz's ideal table
In general I'm all about having a nice time. We're here to have fun, laugh, and make some memories. So if you're fine with jokes, being silly, having some serious moments, and engaging/tough combat then we'll probably be solid. If the table wants something more serious I'm totally into that as well but that'd have to be agreed upon in session 0.

I love it when a player
-Tries things. Will everything always work out? No, of course not but never be afraid to try cool things because that's the only way that cool things can happen.
I think min/maxing...
is completely fine and if you're into it, then awesome. As long as no one causing another player to have a terrible time, I honestly don't care how you build your character.
My table is not the place for...
Taking matters into your own hands. If there are issues, bring it to my attention asap in DMs so we can work together to solve the problem. If I'm unaware of issues I can't help to fix the issue.
