About Darry

Hi! I'm a Dungeon Master with 25 years experience dating back to 2nd Edition AD&D. Being a DM is a true passion for me, and it's the hobby I enjoy most. I've been fortunate enough to have hundreds of players sit at my tables through the years at conventions, in campaigns, and at your Friendly Local Gaming Store. We have created stories together that I get to carry with me, and I would love to do the same with you. I love diverse tables and welcome all to join; Dungeons and Dragons is for everyone. I primarily run homebrew and do accept requests or commissions for custom content. If you enjoy official published materials, my favorite settings to run are Ravenloft and Eberron. My favorite published Fifth Edition adventures are Curse of Strahd and Tomb of Annihilation.

How Darry runs games

I love all three "pillars" of D&D: exploration, combat, and roleplay. If you pin me down and force me to choose, my personal favorite is roleplay, but I enjoy them all. My style changes to fit the preferences of the players at my table. If I have a bunch of optimized combat vets, I'll push you to your limits. If you want to explore your characters together, I've got just the scenes for it. When running games that aren't D&D, my personal favorites include narrative-focused games using the Forged in the Dark or Powered by the Apocalypse rule sets, where we can explore themes like success in the face of adversity or really dig in to the roleplay tools.
