About Dan
Hi there! I'd love to be your Game Master. Maybe you know me as a comedian who has been on television, known for elaborate improvisation. I've been a cast member of the Dungeons & Dragons podcast Nerd Poker since 2014, where I have woven entire continents. Plus I've created monsters, mechanics, and stories for D&D itself. As Narrative Lead of Cortex RPG I co-adapted Netflix's The Dragon Prince into the game Tales of Xadia. I've adapted tabletop games for Mattell, DC Comics, and more. I've been Senior Editor at MAD Magazine and Managing Editor of The Onion. Oh, and one time I sang background vocals on They Might Be Giants' cover of Tubthumping.

How Dan runs games
I've been writing and performing comedy for over 25 years. Having done improv, playwriting, and acting, my most public-facing comedy has been stand-up since the mid 00's. Maybe you know me from my tours or my albums! As for writing, I've been an editor at The Onion as well as MAD Magazine. I helped win 2 Emmys for interactive content for Comedy Central's @midnight and worked on all 500 episodes. I'm also a big fan tabletop roleplaying games, I've been a cast member of the Nerd Poker D&D podcast for 10 years, primarily as its Dungeon Master. I published my first TTRPG book Tales of Xadia in 2022.
