About Kai aka Daddy DM
I've been creating worlds since I was around seven. Through the years I got better at it. It was a natural progression that I become a DM. Once I played Dungeons and Dragons for the first time, I fell in love and haven't stopped. I started DMing my own games in 2020, having only played in one game before that. It was rough, but I was fortunate to have new players who learned with me. After that, I've only grown as a DM and a writer. Collaborative storytelling is my favorite thing in the whole world. I homebrew all of my content, including settings, characters, maps and even pantheons, though I do take some lore and settings from other places (i.e. the nine hells, the Feywild, and other planes of existence.) I do take puzzles from other places as I am not great at making puzzles. As a DM, I lean more towards rule of cool rather than rules lawyer. If a player wants to be creative and do something just a bit out of the usual, I try to make it work with the mechanics of the game. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and my characters reflect a wide variety of orientations and gender identities. I have hard boundaries and try to make everyone at my table feel safe and respected. I love adventure and reward creativity! Let's go on an adventure together!

How Kai aka Daddy DM runs games
Rule of cool: if it's creative and exciting, I will try to make it work with the mechanics. I do all the voices, homebrew all the characters, settings, and pantheons. I tailor the storyline to fit the players wants for gameplay. If they want something story heavy, I'm down and have plenty of lore for my worlds. If they want more combat, I'm down to battle. If they want to save the world(s), create a cult, do some espionage, fight some supernatural horrors, take down a fascist government, I'm down for all the adventure. Hard lines: no harming of children or animals, no guns, I won't describe sexual stuff (though sexuality is welcomed, I won't get into any detail), no forced sex.

My table is a safe place to explore roleplaying. I have mostly played with players who are new to TTRPGs, so I am patient and don't mind taking a moment to explain what is happening or how something works. I like to think of my table as Chaotic Chill: they are pretty chill, but prone to chaos because I welcome creativity.

I love it when a player
asks questions; about lore, about the characters, about the setting, about anything really. I write a lot of lore and backstories that most people don't get to know because they just move forward with the tasks at hand. I also love when they get creative.
